G resham O utlook T W IC E A W EEK Commissioners Okeh Fair Grounds Plans T he object of th e recent visit of th e c o u n tjrto m m issio n ers to G resh am w as to confer w ith the execu tive and building com m ittees of the M ultnom ah county fair board, and look over the sketches of the a r ran g e m en t of th e grounds and p lan s for th e new building pro gram , w hich a re to play an im p o rt a n t p a rt in the y ea r's fair a c tiv i ties. T he building com m ittee, w hich co n sists of S. B. H all, chairm an, T heodore B rugger and C. I. R aker, have laid out the plans for a cen tr a l c o u rt on th e fair ground, the en tra n c e s to all buildings to ra d i a te from th is point. T he th re e new buildings w hich a re to be erected th is year w ill face th is inner court. T hese buildings, as planned by th e building com m ittee and ap proved by the board of county com m issioners, are a m achinery build ing, 5 0x 180 feet; a dairy cattle b arn , 72 x 140 feet in size, w hich w ill house about 150 head of dairy c a ttle ; and a horse barn, 80x100 feet, w here a t least 50 head of d ra ft and fancy horses can be seen to advantage. T he re -a rra n g e m e n t of the grounds so as to open up th is ce n tr a l c o u rt w ill necessitate the mov ing of th e floral building and the co n stru ctio n of a sm all am ount of roadw ays. T he placing of th e new roadw ays w ill m ake the a rra n g e m en t so th a t all of th e exhibit buildings on th e fair g rounds w ill be accessible to th e c e n tra l court, and p rac tica lly all of th e activities of th e fair w ill be cen tralized in and aro u n d th is c o u rt w hich w ill be ap proxim ately 150 feet wide and 500 feet long. T he building com m ittee expects to s ta r t on detail plans of th e b uildings a t once and w ill be able to let the co n tra cts for th e ir con stru c tio n in th e very near future. ZENGER HOME LOSES AT HANDS OF T1UEF Mr. and Mrs. A lbert Zenger, liv ing on B arker road n ear Pow ell Valley w est of G resham , suffered a 'lo ss of about $150 last S atu rd ay evening w hen th e ir residence was en tered by a thief. A p parently the in tru d e r w as of a fem inine tu rn of m ind as ladies' w earing ap p a rel, a trav e lin g bag, v an ity set and other to ilet acces sories, a strin g of p earls besides a q u an tity of bedding w ere am ong th e a rtic le s of value taken. The thief gained en tra n ce to the house thro u g h a window. It is th o u g h t the robbery took place about 8:30 in the evening. The sheriff's office in P o rtlan d w as im m ediately notiiied, but as yet no clue of im portance has devel- oped. The ow ners of sheep and goats killed by dogs are reim bursed for th e ir value from the receipts of th e county dog license fund.
