Gibson, 58. of E agle Creek, Oregon, died at Good S am ar ita n hospital Monday, F eb ru ary 13, as th e re su lt of an operation. The fun eral w as conducted W ednesday a t th e E agle C reek church, w ith a r rangem ents in th e hands of th e G ates F u n eral Home. In term e n t w as m ade in G ibson cem etery at E agle Creek. T he deceased is survived by his widow Mrs. L innie G ibson; th ree b ro th ers H. S. of E ag le Creek, and H arvey and H. F. of B arto n ; two sisters, Mrs. N ora I. K andall of E stacada and Mrs. Cora M. U dell of E agle Creek. BORING T he Rev. A. B. C alder spent last F riday in P o rtlan d visiting w ith a nephew G eorge T. C alder, second officer on th e steam sh ip J. L. Luckenback. T he steam er w as on her way from S eattle to New York, w here young Mr. C alder resides. T he Rev. Mr. C alder had not seen his nephew for 20 years. The steam er is one of th e 21 vessels b e longing to th e L uckenback line and c a rrie s lum ber and dried and canned fru its from Oregon, W ash ington and C alifornia to th e A tlan tic coast. Mr. Gill kept th in g s moving and th e re was not a dull moment. H. A. Beck w as ta k en to a P o rt land hospital th e first of th e week. He w as taken violently ill la st week and a G resham physician w as su m moned. L ater he w as rem oved to th e hospital w here It w as found th a t he w as suffering from g all stones. Mr. Beck had been laid up for th e past th re e m onths from an accident he received w hile w o rk ing on the section and w as ju st able to go back to w ork. At last rep o rt he w as in a critica l condi tion. Mr. L indon Richey and fam ily w ere out from P o rtlan d Sunday visiting relatives. Mrs. Emma G regson and th e C. L. G regson fam ily e n tertain ed friends from Idaho on T uesday. T he re g u la r services w ill be held at the M ethodist ch u rc h on Sunday, preaching a t 10 by th e p aso r and Sunday school a t 11. P at L and is confined to his home w ith rheum atism .
