W hereas, it is th e g eneral verdict
of th e public who trav e l by a u to ­
m obile th a t all types of bithulithic
or so-called black-topped pavem ent
a re very dangerous, and
W hereas, thousands of m achines
have been w recked and thousands of
people have been injured, the r e ­
sponsibility of w hich can be laid to
th is type of pavem ent, and
W hereas, public safety justifies
th e discontinuation of all bitulithic
or so-called black topped pave­
m ents.
T herefore, be it resolved by Mult-
no County Pom ona grange, in ses­
sion at C orbett, Oregon, th a t we go
on record in favor of th e initiation
of a sta te law th a t will p revent the
laying of any fu rth e r pavem ents
of this type w ithin th e Btate of O re­
gon and. be it fu rth e r
