Double Wedding Held at Cottrell Church T he C ottrell com m unity church w as the scene of a double w edding last Sunday m orning at 8 o'clock when Miss E ula M arvin, dau g h ter of Mrs. J. S. D onaldson, becam e th e bride of H arl W hitfield, and Miss M arian Meade w as united w ith V er non F anasac, th e Rev. S. F. P itts officiating. Miss M arvin w as a t tended by Miss E lsie McNutt and B ert W hitfield was the best m an. Miss Meade w as attended by Miss Mabel R ankin as bridesm aid, and Iv in F an asac attended the groom as best man. Miss M arvin w as a t tire d In a handsom e gown of peach chiffon and h er bridesm aid w ore a blue frock of th e sam e m aterial. Njiss Meade w ore w hite crepe de c» ln e and h er bridesm aid a crepe de chine gown in blue. Each bride carried a bouquet of sw eet peas and pink rosebuds and th e b rid es m aids ca rrie d pink and lavender sw eet peas. T he ch u rc h w as p re ttily decorated In Oregon ferns, gladioli and sw eet peas. Both couples left for a sh o rt honeym oon tr ip to S eattle, afte r w hich they w ill re tu rn to resid e in P ortland. Mrs. W hitfield w as grad u ated w ith th e 1923 class of G resham Union high school and la te r attended W illam ette U niversity fo r a year. L arson, who lives on th e bluff ea st of T ro u td ale, rep o rts th a t he raised 126 sacks of potatoes on an ac re of ground, for w hich he received $377.53 net profit. Mr. L arson rep o rts farm in g as good and believes th a t he lives in th e best section in th e w orld.
