FAIRVIEW SELLS BONDS FOR WATER SYSTEM O regon A u to Fact« in a N u tsh ell At a m eeting held In th e F air view city hall la st evening bids on the $20,000 bond issue for th e con stru ctio n of th e proposed F airview w ater system w ere opened and th e successful bidder for th e p urchase of the bonds found to be th e L um b erm a n ’s T ru s t com pany of P o rt land, w hich bid $990.17 per thou sand for th e 5»4 per cent bonds. P lan s and specifications, w hich have been in th e hands of th e en gineer, H. L. G ilbert of P o rtlan d , w ill be gone over in a few days w ith th e c o n tra cto rs on the job, as soon as th e ir nam es w ill have been m ade known. A num ber of bids are in for the co n tra ctin g job and these w ill be opened in a sh o rt tim e. Since th e prelim in ary w ork was done on the rese rv o ir and th e fea sibility of th e p roject established, o peratio n s have gone forw ard r a p idly w ith the consu ltin g engineer Mr. G ilbert and w ith C.
