Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Cooley r e tu rn ed rec en tly from G ra n ts P ass w here they atten d ed the fu n eral of Mrs. Cooley's sister. Mrs.. Mede C ochrane of Rogue River, Oregon, who died D ecem ber 18, a t th e age of 52 years. Mr. and Mrs. Coch ran e lived ea st of G resham for sev era l years. At th e tim e of her death Mr. and Mrs. Cooley w ere at th e bedside, as w ere also her p a r ents. In term e n t w as m ade in the G ra n ts P ass cem etery Dec. 20. T he deceased Is survived by her widower, E. R. C ochrane; tw o c h il dren, Violet and E rn est, who reside at th e fam ily hom e; her p aren ts, Mr. and Mrs. R obert R ogers of Rid- cu ttin g m ouldings. All kinds of wood tu rn in g , p la n ing and in te rio r huuse finishing a re done by Mr. T horen, and he m akes a specialty of screen doors, both in m an u factu red and stock trad e. He is assisted in his w ork by C arl Main. A shop 25 x 90 feet in size is req u ired fo r the w ork an d th e re is room especially co n stru cted for HAS GROW ING th e gluing process.
