Gregson The pupils of the p rim a ry room of th e B oring school w ere s u r prised on F rid a y m orning when th ey cam e to school to le a rn th a t th e ir teach er had changed her nam e, a fte r close of school T hurs-, day, from E ra n a Bluhm to Mrs. S. J. G regson. A fter school closed T h u rsd ay she and Sam uel J. G reg son accom panied by th e b ride's s is te r and th e groom ’s m other, MrB. E. J. G regson, quietly slipped aw ay to V ancouver, secured th e neces sa ry papers and w ere united in m a rriag e. Mrs. G regson h as been em ployed as te ac h er in th e Boring school for th ree years. She is a g rad u a te of th e Oregon sta te n o r m al school a t Monmouth. Mrs. G regson’s p are n ts reside a t Beaver Creek, Oregon. Mr. G regson, b et te r know n as "S am ”, is a son of Mrs. E. J. G regson, who h as been a resident of Boring for a num ber of years. Sam com pleted th e public school here and since th a t tim e has been em ployed a t v arious jobs but of late has been w orking for W. W. Metzger, and is e x tra m an for the Union Oil com pany a t G resham . They both have a host of friends around Boring who all join in w ishing them a long and p ro sp e r ous m arried life. They have house keeping rooms a t th e home of H. B. Lund. On F rid ay evening, the young people and friends of th e new lyw eds g ath ered a t th e ir home and serenaded them , after which they w ere invited into th e house and w ere served with re fre sh m ents. 1 Johnson, lady a s s is ta n t stew ard Ire n e Jo h n so n , m usician.
