The H appy H our class m em bers have been holding a contest, which w as won by the Reds, and the Blues w ill en te rta in them a t an in door picnic on S atu rd ay afternoon at 2:30 in the ch u rc h basem ent. The young people of the Baptist church a re m eeting every W ednes day and T h u rsd ay evening for p ractice of th e ir C hristm as pro gram . w hich prom ises to be of an un u sual order. Mrs. F. B. L ake is reported som e w hat im proved from her recent a t tack of bronchitis. A lbert Q uay has been ill for some tim e, first suffering from an attac k of quinsy and a t p resent be ing afflicted w ith rheum atism . < D. D. Ja c k is able to be up a p a rt of th e day but still unable to be outside. Mrs. Ja c k has been laid up with a sprained ankle for two weeks. Mrs. P earl P endleton of Tacom a, a niece of Mrs. Jack, is ca rin g for the invalids a t present Mrs. B. C. A ltm an still rem ains a t the bedside of her m other. Mrs. J. A. S tephens of P ortland, whose condition is grow ing worse. The L adies Aid of th e M.
