Mr. R andall was born in B radford county, P ennsylvania, May 12. 1847, com ing to O regon in th e year 1908 and residing for ten y ears about 3H m iles n o rth and east of G resham , w here bis wife died. F or th e past five years, Mr. R andall resided in th e Ar- boleda d istric t on th e Powell Valley road w ith his son, Roy M. R andall, w here th e end cam e F riday evening. M arch 12. A lthough ill for several w eeks from h ea rt tro u b le, recovery seemed satisfac to ry and death cam e unexpectedly, follow ing a long, active and useful life. Mr. R andall w as w ell liked and in th e neighborhood w as fa m iliarly know n as "G ran d p a.” In the w eeks preceding and a t death th e re was no pain o r suffering, a life passed peacefully, even as th a t life w as lived. Mr. R andall leaves th re e sons. E lm er D. of Los A ngeles; F ra n k J. of K ansas City, M issouri; and Roy M. of P o rt land; also tw o d au g h ters, Mrs. M. E. B rau n ln g er of K an sas City, M issouri and Mrs. L. C. Robison of Los Angeles. He Is also survived by a b ro th er, D ouglas D. living in Newton, K ansas.
