of P ortland, succeeded rec en tly in
reaching a point on th e snow flelds

south slope of Mt. Hod. He says he
reached un elevation of over 9,000 feet

tained by a m otorcycle ten y ea rs ago.

spected. and th e re a re to be Inspectors
and inspecting sta tio n s w here ca rs
are to be quizzed, at 75c per ca r, and
w hich will run from $1(1 to $30 per
car. T he governor said if th e people
elected him he would reduce taxatio n ,
