T his w as th e occasion of th e ir an n u al pic nic and election of officers, about 40 being p rese n t in all of th e 87 m em bers of th e alum nae w hich a re sc a tte re d over P o rtlan d and vicinity. Q uite a n um ber of th e active g irls of the O. A. C. and U. of O. c h a p te rs w ere p rese n t as gu ests of the alum nae. A m ore local coloring w as given to the occasion by th e presence of one of the te a c h e rs of th e G resham U nion high school. Miss Eve H utchison. Miss H ope M ackenzie, an o th er G resham high school in stru c to r, is a m em ber of th e organization, but w as unable to be present. E ach brought a bask et lunch, to w hich Mrs. A lthaus added ice cream and coffee. H elen A lthaus and F ra n ce s B radley also assisted in ! e n te rta in in g th e guests.
