Not only has a bill been Introduced
In co ngress to auth o rize th e estab
lish m en t of a v e te ra n ’s hospital in
P o rtla n d but G eneral H ines, head of
th e U. S. V eterans' b ureau, has re c ­
om m ended th e c o n stru c tio n of a $1,-
350,000 hospital.
T he site selected as a fitting loca­
tion, and offered to th e governm ent,
is located on M arquam hill w here th e
U niversity of Oregon m edical school
and the new county h ospital a re lo­
cated.
T he early p assage of the bill is said
to be w ell assured.
