W hen th e m a tte r of poor service w as discussed, th e sta te m en t was m ade th a t th e re w ould be b e tte r s e r vice if each one of the telephone u se rs, w h eth er re n te r o r stockholder, w ould see th a t his telephone is kept in o rd er and put in a new b a tte ry w hen one is needed. In case th e line is o ut of order, any p a rty seeing it should re p a ir it him self if possible. It often h appens th a t a tw isted line in fro n t of the house causes th a t p a rtic u la r line to be out of o rd er and p e r haps cau ses o th e r phones to be cu t off In case th e tro u b le ca n n o t be easily rep aired , a linem an should be tlr.ied. E ach one is urged to pay m ore atte n tio n to his Individual line and th u s do m uch tow ard rem edying th e phone service.
