A meeting of more than usual in terest was held at Columbia Grange Saturday. March 4th. Besides it be ing the regular monthly meeting the members were celebrating the golden I wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. j George Knieriem, who were presented a silver sugar and creamer by the grange members. State Deputy Dick inson and his estimable wife from Os wego, had been invited for this occa sion, and Mrs. Dickinson made the presentation speech, and afterwards she and Mr. Dickinson very sweetly sang "When There’s Love at Home." Mrs. A. R. Morgan of Chanticleer Inn, baked a very nice wedding cahe with the dates 1872 and 1922 for this worthy couple, which was cut by the 1 bride of 50 years, and each member was presented a slice. Mr. and Mrs. Knieriem were each presented a gold watch and chain by their children, 10 in number, who were at home on the 22d for the anniversary. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Muck, nee Bes sie Knieriem came out from Portland Friday for a few days’ visit at the home of her parents. Miss Mildred Taylor is quite ill with pneumonia. The dance given by the Corbett baseball team, at the Grange hall Sat urday evening, March 4, was well at tended. Mrs. St. Joseph Leland was in Portland recently consulting an ocu list.
