T he auction sale held on th e Ben son H otel F arm last T uesday, when Nick Schnell offered for sale all his stock, farm m achinery and Im ple m ents, was one of th e la rg e st sales ever held in th is vicinity, in p o in t of atten d an ce. J. C. K u ra tli cried th e sales, which w ere highly satisfacto ry . T he sales am ounted to ab o u t $6000. Mr. Schnell, who has ren te d th e farm for th e past few years, has been conducting a m eat m a rk e t on Union avenue in P o rtlan d for th e past 14 m onths. He has bought residence property on E ig h th and A lb erta stre e ts and will move his fam ily th e re at once. T he farm was recently sold by S. Benson to Dr. Ralph F ish er of P o rt land.
