GRESHAM OUTLOOK TUESDAY. PAGK FOUR METHODIST LADIES’ AID HAS JUBILEE One of th e event« of th e season oc curred a t th e hom e of Mr. and Mrs. W. B. P arso n s la st W ednesday a f te r noon, J u n e 3. T he occasion was the an n u a l ju b ilee of the L adles' Aid of the M ethodist church. T he guests were conveyed In au to s from th e church to th e ¡’a rso n s’ country hom e w here a m ost hosp itab le welcome aw aited them . T he house was decorated with a profusion of roses, m aiden h a ir fern and honeysuckle, w hile th e w hole yard was abloom and f ra g ra n t with th e sam e profusion of loveliness. In th e back yard, a te n t had been dec o rate d and fitted up to receive the overflow of guests. N othing was le ft undone th a t could add to th e com fort o r p leasu re of th e visitors. T h ere was but one b lu r to a perfect day. T he Invitation co m m ittee left o u t the w eath er man and In revenge he tu r n ed loose a sam ple of every kind of w eath er know n to th e w eath er b u r eau, b u t n o thing dam pened th e sp ir its of th e m errym akers. D ignity was left a t hom e w hile childhood gam es w ere resu rrected and college tric k s p erp e tra te d on th e unsuspecting. T he crow ning ev en t of th e day was Mrs. P arso n s’ fam ous straw b e rry sh o rtca k es w ith real co u n try cream C ake and coffee w ere also served. O ver 50 guests were p resen t and m ost sin cere an d hearty w ere th e w ords of th a n k s and appreciation extended to Mr. and Mrs. P arso n s as royal e n te r tain ers.
