TROUTDALE, Dec. 4—The Ladies'
Aid society met with Mrs. Lida Sur-
ber on Wednesday afternoon.
The
hours were passed in quilting after
which refreshments were served.
Troutdale feels quite proud of
having the honors of having elected a
lady for mayor at Tuesday's election
when Mrs. J. Alfred Larsson was
chosen with a majority of five over
S. A. Edmundson. Mrs. Larsson will
be the second lady mayor to serve in
the state of Oregon.
