The American Cowboy Team Roping Association National Finals was held October 19th through the 26th, 2024, In Reno, Ne- vada. Our area was rep- resented by Cecil’s Tate Turner, who brought home the Reserve Champion #4 title, roping with Jeff Every of Redmond. The competi- tion featured teams from all over North America, with 920 teams vying in the #4 roping. The duo brought home $5325 each and tro- phy saddles. This is the second team roping saddle Tate won this year. In July, the 12-year-old captured the Silver State Invitational Rodeo Junior High Team Roping title, roping against kids from 7 western states. RP reported a gray and white pit bull that wouldn’t leave the property and tried charging at the RP. Unknown owner or if the dog has a collar. RP request- ed contact with a deputy.
