Brace yourselves, kids and parents, because it’s time for the legendary Mut- ton Bustin’ extravaganza. Calling all pint-sized daredevils weighing 60 lbs or under, this is your chance to shine. The rodeo commit- tee has opened its gates to children from all over, eager to test their mettle against the mighty muttons. The action- packed event will take place on Friday and Saturday, but hold your horses, Sunday is reserved exclusively for MOCO residents, alumni, and their immediate families. Now, before you get too carried away with visions of glory, there are a few things to keep in mind. First off, there’s a limit of 15 participants per open day, so you better saddle up and secure your spot pronto. And remember, folks, this ain’t no beauty pag- eant; it’s a rough and tumble competition. Performance requests might not be hon- ored due to the sheer number of entries per performance. So, it’s first come, first serve. Picture this: a bunch of fearless youngsters, cling- ing onto the backs of woolly beasts, determined to ride ‘em like there’s no tomorrow. The crowd will be on the edge of their seats, cheering and hol- lering as these mini cowboys and cowgirls give it their all. It’s a sight that’ll make your heart skip a beat and your cheeks ache from smiling. But let’s not forget about the stars of the show – the muttons themselves. These fluffy, four-legged athletes have perfected their bucking skills just for this moment. They may be small, but they pack a punch. So, kids, make sure you hold on tight, ‘cause these woolly wonders won’t go down without a fight. So, gather up your cour- age, kiddos, and get ready for a weekend of mutton bus- tin’ madness at the Morrow County Rodeo. It’s an event that promises thrills, spills, and a whole lot of laughter.
