City in good financial shape, says manager Continued from page 1 food box before. She said the majority of their clients however are “elderly who live on a fixed social secu- rity income.” Orwick said the cen- ter also helped two fami- lies with rent assistance in August and gave out $20 emergency fuel vouchers to four families. She old the council that the center has received recent requests for deodorant, dish soap, laundry detergent and dog and cat food. “We would appreciate any extra dona- tions of these items for us to distribute to those in need,” she said. In other reports Pub- lic Works Director Chad Doherty reported the city had put out the hunter’s water hook up at Heritage Park and got the trash bins set up by city park in prepa- ration for hunting season and the hunters that are coming through town. As a courtesy to hunters which have a positive economic impact on the town’s econ- omy, free water is provided for hunters to fill up their RVs when coming through town, and free dumpsters are provided by the park for hunters to put their trash on the way out of town. Good News Only by Doris Brosnan September is especially significant for Bob Harrison. Not only did Bob celebrate his 85th birth-day on the 8th, he and Sharon will be celebrating their 61st wedding an- niversary just eight days later (this Friday). Congratula- tions, Robert. And Sharon. Virgil and Debbie Morgan celebrated their anniver- sary on the 4th. The Morgans have been married for 45 years. Congratulations. Betty Gray welcomed daughter, DeLoy, and her husband, Curtis, from Seattle last week-end. Such a complement to have the couple choose to celebrate their 24th anniversary with her. They brought a magnif- icent variety of seafood with them, so when Betty’s son, Mark, and his wife, Ima, joined them and Ione friends Alan and Nancy Anderson for dinner, they enjoyed an amazing feast. Generally agreed by medical persons is that walking is good for us. It can also be good for our com- munity, thanks to walkers like Dale Adlard. Early AM finds Dale out for his walk, carrying a sack into which he puts other people’s debris that he finds on our sidewalks and streets. Kudos, Dale, for making a difference, for modeling for us the volunteer actions of a con-cerned citizen. (No, he does not pick up dog-do that owners have left on the sidewalks.) Maybe not considered truly “good news,” the return of our Grease Bugs this month, with a second thought, actually sort of qualifies: In an uncertain, un- predictable world, consistency can be reassuring. These almost-innocuous grass bugs that leave their little specks around the house and maybe surprise us when we stick our feet into bed or start to drink a cup of coffee can be depended on to show up in great quantities for the Pend- leton Roundup in September and for St. Patrick’s Day. Consistency. The first day of school always provides some smiles as the preschoolers, kindergarteners, and first graders report their experiences. Heard on August 29: “Teacher let me do anything I wanted to….Why don’t you do that, Mom?” “If I don’t like it tomorrow, I’ll just get on the bus and come home.” “I’m not going back. I still can’t read.” One little preschooler was most im- pressed with one particular activity: He apparently was allowed to run, to “run everywhere.” Good news for the individuals who attended Music in the Park last Sunday. The last con-cert of this summer series featured the “Brass Fire Band,” with a great, large sound and a great, large variety of songs. Six of the ten band members sang solos, accompanied by nine to ten in-struments. The spokesperson entertained with one-liners between selections, and the fact that the band cared enough about their performance that they dressed alike and included a little choreog-raphy was to- tally refreshing. Smiling and sometimes chuckling is so good for us. Share your upbeat moments with readers, improve our well-being, by sending tidbits to dbrosnan123@gmail. com or calling 541-223-1490. Please, share. The GT is not responsible for accuracy of statements made in letters. Any letters expressing thanks will be placed in the classifieds under Where are these millions of new and invisible voters? To the Editor: “Joe Biden spent most of the pandemic-laced cam- paign in his Delaware base- ment and his appearances were marked by sparse crowds and signs he has lost a step,” (New York Post, Oct. 16, 21) yet Biden received 81 million votes, the most ever cast in a U.S. presidential election. In- credulously the American people have been plastered with, “by all measures, the 2020 general election was one of the most se- cure elections in our his- tory.” (Brennon Center For Justice, Dec.11,2020). The incessant chorus from nearly every media outlet and government institution was resounding unanimous: “There is no evidence that any voting system deleted or lost votes, changed votes, or was in any way compro- mised.” (“Trumps own offi- cials say 2020 was Ameri- ca’s most secure in history,” Jen Kirby, 11/13/20) George Bush won 2004 presidential election with 62 million votes. Barack Obama received the most votes in history in 2008 with 69 million. Donald Trump won the 2016 elec- tion with 64 million votes and somehow lost the 2020 election with over 74 mil- lion votes. At the same time “U.S. Population Growth is Collapsing,” (The Atlantic, Derek Thompson, 3/28/22) the 2020 presidential elec- tion recorded the high- est voter turnout (67%) of registered voters in over a century. In the 2010 and 2014 U.S. elections “for every 10 adults, only 4 cast a ballot.” (Exploring Why So Many Americans Don’t Vote, NPR, 9/10/18) There is no valid explanation for the 81 million votes for Joe Biden that the media, government, Google, and fake political pundits claim Biden received. Still the incessant election security chorus remains. “Election deniers damage U.S. rep- utation on world stage.” (Vice President Kamala Harris, “Meet the Press,” 9/11/22) While the national press, media, even some at Fox promote the “Big Lie: Inside the Creation of Trumps Stolen Elec- tion Myth” (propublica. org 4/26/22) two thirds of Republicans still believe the “election was rigged and stolen from Trump.” (New York Post, Michael Goodwin, 10/16/21) Where are these millions upon millions of new and invisible Democratic voters coming from? I encourage every American citizen to view Dinesh D’Souza’s documentary “2000 Mules” to learn how America has been ‘fundamentally trans- formed (Barack Obama) into “a nation run as a crim- inal cartel that is controlling our once free elections.” (Dinesh D’Souza, 2000 Mules) In this documen- tary D’Souza and ‘True The Vote’ use geo tracking to document thousands of ‘mules’ (paid voting sabo- teurs) that trafficked poten- tially millions of fraudulent ballots which illegitimately elected Joe Biden. ‘True the Vote’ recorded over four million minutes of film footage documenting 2000 mules casting an un- countable number of fraud- ulent ballots at over 38 dif- ferent drop boxes in heavily contested swing states.” (Hans A. Spakousky, “The Fraud That Dare Not Speak its Name,” Heritage Foun- dation, 6/2/22). This Dem- ocrat controlled criminal cartel used the Covid 19 pandemic to convince state governments to place Ballot Drop boxes in the cities of primarily swing states. These Ballot Drop boxes were unsecure and unregu- lated and allowed virtually millions of fraudulent votes to be cast and counted. As early as 2012 The Pew Foundation reported “24 million voter registrations were either no longer valid or significantly inaccurate. More than 1.8 million de- ceased individuals were listed as voters.” (Election integrity Scorecard, Her- itage Foundation, 2012) How was this D.O.J., F.B.I., media and government con- trolled criminal cartel able to pull this coup of our election system? “It was a genius plan. And because no one ever imagined that a coordinated operation could pull off the privatization of the election system no laws were built to com- bat it.” (op. cit. Goodwin, 10/16/21) Who better to fund this criminal cartel that billionaire Facebook tycoon Mark Zuckerberg. “The 419 million that Face- book founder Zuckerberg ostensibly spent to get out the vote, was actually used by Democrat activists to infiltrate local election op- erations and take over jobs government workers were suppose to do.” (op.cit. Goodwin) These Zucker- berg mules were the same BLM, Antifa, and gang activists the criminal cartel paid to terrorize America in the violent riots in America pre Biden. Zuckerberg’s money lined up “left wing groups in key cities that in turn lured poll workers, col- lected absentee ballots and cured those with errors.” (op. cit. Goodwin) While the criminal car- tel screams voter suppres- sion, Zuckerberg and pal George Soros (126 million to his super liberal PAC 2022) are already setting their voting ballot traps to steal the 2022 midterm elections. Once they steal the next election, they will continue to weaponize the U.S. government to go after their enemies. Not only has Biden authorized the FBI to go after Trump, but “35 MAGA Allies got raided” (Newsweek, Jake Thomas, 9/9/22) have experienced their homes being assault- ed. This cartel views con- servative American Trump supporters as their greatest enemy and threat to their regime. Prayer, the armor of Christ in Ephesians 6, and a willingness to stand for God and Country, as did our forefathers, (the ones this criminal cartel hates) is our best hope and deliverance from this great evil that has taken over our nation. Some Rodeo Court members missed To the Editor As it has happened, or rather unfortunately, did not happen - not all Mor- row County Fair & Rodeo Royalty Court members received an Invitation to the 100 th year Celebration. It became an almost insurmountable task by the Oregon Trail Pro Rodeo Committee to get the in- vitations to all apparently, with either unknown or no current addresses avail- able. Some women who live as close as Pendleton or some as far away as Texas - did not receive an Invita- tion. Some were followed up on, others not. Since all these gals served with pride, dedication, and commitment to Heppner and Morrow County over the years, it seems fitting to honor each Court and the Year of Service. They all were a big and integral part of the Rodeo History, as well as to Hep- pner and Morrow County. I believe this information is within the Gazette-Times Archives that lists each Court - Queen and her Prin- cesses for each Year. Even though the events and celebration there in Heppner have now passed, it is still the 100 th Year, and this is the time to publish this most all-inclusive, hon- ored and historical List. Everyone of these Hep- pner and Morrow County Courts’ young women ad- vertised, supported, and promoted the Fair and Ro- deo, traveling at their own expense all over the North- west to do so, culminating in the annual celebration in Heppner each year, representing all of Morrow County. They lived all over the County; some were raised on ranch- es, some were town gals: Heppner, Ione, Lexington, Board- man, Irrigon. Since the Rodeo started in 1922, some are deceased, of course, others at a young- er age. But each and every one needs to be recognized, and it would mean so much to us living ones also who did not receive an Invita- tion and did not even know we were invited until too late. There was no prior Notice, Announcement, or Invitation published in the Gazette - which would have reached those of us who have a subscription and passed along to those who do not. Also, since the Royalty Courts have been discontin- ued, it would be most fitting and such a good thing to honor all these past Courts this year - the 100 th year Celebration of the Rodeo, 1922- 2022. It would mean everything to them and their fami- lies, friends, neighbors, and relatives of deceased and living. We missed out on know- ing about it all: the Pa- rade, Luncheon, Rodeo - everything. Since I live in Texas, I receive the Ga- zette in my mail a week after it comes out there at home. So I was shocked and in disbelief that it was actually happening at the same time that I was read- ing about it for the first time in the Special Edi- tion, “The Bounty of our County”. Maybe I should have remembered that it was the 100 th year, but I did not. Serving on the Court for two years, first as a 1966 Princess and then the following year as the 1967 Queen, is right up there for me - as getting married and having kids, for example. It meant and means that much to me in my life. The memories last a lifetime. My Dad, Raymond French, served on the Ro- deo Board (now called the Committee) for years. My ancestors - the Butter Creek ranchers who started and helped organize and partic- ipate in the first Rodeos in Heppner in the 1920’s and 30’s - were my Grandfather Herbert French, my Great Uncle Jack French, and my husband, Tony Schiller’s Great Uncle Tony Vey, who he is named after. So it is in our DNA. Morrow County and Hep- pner is Home and always will be. This has been devastating to me, not to know about the Invitation or the 100 Year Celebration. So could this historical Royalty Court List be re- searched and made possible to publish at this time? It is very important to me and to all who did not know about or be part of this 100 th Year Anniversary. It would be gratefully and most thankfully appreciated from us all. Thank You, Verina French Schiller Patriots will save our country Attention Citizens of Ore- gon, this is just a reminder of the things you should think about before and during Election Day; No- vember 8, 2022. We are a nation in decline. We are a failing nation. We are a nation that has the highest inflation in over 40 years and the stock market just finished the worst half of the year in more than five decades. We are a nation that has the highest ener- gy cost in its history. And we are no longer energy independent, or energy dominant which we were just two short years ago. We are a nation that is beg- ging Venezuela and Saudi Arabia for oil. We are a nation that surrendered in Afghanistan leaving be- hind dead soldiers and American citizens and $85 billion worth of the finest military equipment in the World. We are a nation that allowed Russia to devas- tate country-Ukraine-kill- ing hundreds of thousands of people. We are a nation that has weaponized its law enforcement against the opposing political party like never before. We are a nation where free speech is no longer allowed, where crime is rampant like nev- er before, where the econ- omy has been collapsing, and where more people died of COVID in 2021 than in 2020. We are a na- tion that is allowing Iran to build a massive nuclear weapon and China to use the trillions and trillions of dollars it is taken from the United States to build a military to rival our pow- er. We are a nation that over the past two years is no longer respected, or listened to, all around the world. And we are a nation that is hostile to liberty, freedom, and faith. We are a nation whose economy is floundering whose stores are not stocked, whose deliveries are not coming, and whose educational system is ranked at the bot- tom of every list. We are a nation that in many ways has become a JOKE. It is hard-working patriots like you who built this coun- try and it is hard-working patriots like you who are going to save our country. These are the words of President Trump, shared by a syndicated columnist Dr. Harold Pease. OregonCitizen Kathy Wilson
