Heppner much cooler than normal in April According to prelim- inary data received by NOAA’s National Weath- er Service in Pendleton, temperatures at Heppner averaged much cooler than normal during the month of April 2022. The average tempera- ture was 43.8 degrees which was -5.5 degrees cooler than the normal av- erage temperature for this month. High temperatures averaged 54.1 degrees with the high of 68 degrees being recorded on the 27 th . Low temperatures averaged 33.5 degrees with the low of 23 degrees being recorded on the 13 th . There were 15 days when the low temperature was below 32 degrees Precipitation was much above normal during April, totaling 2.12 inches, which was 0.66 inches above nor- mal. Precipitation of at least .01 inch was reported on seven days. The heaviest amount of precipitation was 0.68 inches, which was reported on the 12 th . Snow- fall for the month totaled 9.5 inches. The heaviest snowfall was seven inches reported on the 12 th . The highest snow depth was seven inches, occurring on the 12 th .
