Good News Only
By Doris Brosnan
Kudos to the two HHS
football players who were
able to participate in the
East-West Shrine Game.
They were key players in
the win. Comments from
them in interviews for the
news media were so, so
impressive because they
credited their fellow players
for the “team effort” that
secured the win. Impressive
young men, Jayden and
Jackson. Unfortunately,
Blake suffered an injury so
couldn’t play.
Fortunate 40-ish at-
tendees at Music in the
Park on Sunday, the 8 th . The
Wasteland Kings played
virtually nonstop for two
hours. A great mix of genres
in their vocals and instru-
mentals. Next month will
be the last for this summer
season. Don’t miss.
Like the “Energizer
Bunny,” Andrea Nelson
seems to keep going, and
going, and going, thriv-
ing on new ideas/projects,
so watch for information
on her latest: a Commu-
nity Learning Garden in
space between Flood Town
Books and the Neighbor-
hood Center. The hands-on
garden will offer classes,
many geared to school-aged
children, and the resulting
produce will be shared with
the local food bank. More
details coming soon.
A slow good news
week, apparently. Keep in
mind that readers will en-
joy your news, so please,
share your good-news tid-
bits by sending them be-
fore Monday afternoon to
dbrosnan123@gmail.com,
or call 541-676-5382 or

on the street.
Here’s hoping that
some good news comes to
everyone reading this.
