At that time she was hired as interim Umatilla City Manager, and most recently worked for the State of Oregon as the Eastern Region Repre- sentative at the Department of Land Conservation and Development Commission. Mabbott takes the place of Carla McLane who earlier resigned as Morrow County planner. Stephanie Case has been serving as interim planning director since. During her 27-year ca- reer as a county planner Mabbott says she has been able to combine her aca- demic and personal experi- ence with natural resources. She spent two years work- ing as a Community Devel- opment Director, and most Tamra Mabbott recently served as the East- ern Region Representative for the Oregon Department of Land Conservation and Development. While she described her state position as her dream job, traveling the 10-county region and spending time with wonder- ful people and communi- ties, she is looking forward to her return to Morrow County where she can focus on a smaller region, she told the Gazette upon accepting the position to come back to Morrow County.
