Heppner Gazette-Times, Heppner, Oregon Wednesday, July 1, 2020 -- SEVEN Sheriff’s Report The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office has released the following information: April 6: Morrow Coun- ty Sheriff’s Office received a report on SE Utah Ave, Irrigon that a gold T-Bird went by at a high rate of speed toward Tenth. RP ad- vised this is the same T-Bird that he has turned in in the past for double parking and buying dope from his neighbor. -MCSO received a re- port at Northwestern Motel on N Main St, Heppner that the parking at the motel has always been an issue for him but now there are small buses parked there causing issues. RP advised you have to use the oncoming lane to go around them. Deputy responded. There was a ve- hicle parked too far out into the lane of travel. The motel will notify the subjects that they need to move it. -MCSO received a re- port at W Eighth Rd/Depot Ln, Irrigon of a subject in an old white Crown Vic with a spotlight at the pond. Dep- uty responded. The subject is leaving for the day. -MCSO received a re- port at Sergio’s Mexican Restaurant on E Hwy 730, Irrigon that a truck driver is parked in the middle of the road. -MCSO received a re- port on Miller Rd, Board- man of a grass fire. No structures threatened, con- trol burn out of control. -MCSO received a re- port that Shealee Kay Bai- ley was served MCCC war- rant while in DOC custody. -MCSO received a re- port at MCSO gun range on Rippee Rd, Boardman that a couple of desks were dumped at the range and used for target practice. -MCSO received a report on SE Utah Ave, Irrigon that a light green Nissan Altima sped through towards Tenth. Unable to locate. -MCSO received a report at Boardman City Hall on City Center Circle, Boardman of a lost dog found on Kunze. No own- er’s information listed. Dog taken to pet rescue. -MCSO received a re- port on SE Utah Ave, Irri- gon that a red Toyota Corol- la sped 35-40 mph towards Tenth St. Unfounded. April 7: Morrow Coun- ty Sheriff’s Office received a report that Veronica Mo- nique Garza was arrested by Hermiston PD on IJC warrant. Lodged at UCJ with no bail. -MCSO received a report on Wagon Wheel Loop, Irrigon of two large brown dogs running around the area. Unable to locate. -MCSO received a re- port on SE Utah Ave, Irri- gon that a silver Chrysler 300 with a female driv- er sped through towards Tenth. -MCSO received a report on Willow Creek Rd, Heppner of 15-year-ol OD. Semi-conscious and breathing, not speaking. Transported. -MCSO received a re- port on I 84 W, Boardman that a newer brown Dodge pickup with WA plates is all over the road, shoulder to shoulder. Unable to locate. -MCSO received a re- port on California Ln, Ir- rigon of an ongoing issue with her neighbor’s dog barking. RP has tried to contact the neighbors but it has not done any good. -MCSO received a re- port on SE Utah Ave, Irri- gon that a silver Durango flew through the field mak- ing a lot of dust. -MCSO received a re- port at Juniper Canyon Rd/ Baseline Ln, Lexington of vehicles on windfarm. Subjects in question do not belong there. April 8: Morrow Coun- ty Sheriff’s Office received a report on NE Main Ave, Irrigon that 72-year-old female needs assistance. Had back pain and fell over. Patient refusal. -MCSO received a re- port at N First St/Columbia River of a subject camping in the area. Unable to lo- cate. -MCSO received a re- port at SW Third St/SW Nevada Ave, Irrigon of ongoing issue with vehicle speeding through the area. He is concerned due to children in the area. -MCSO received a re- port on SE Utah Ave, Irri- gon that a Nissan Altima flew through towards Tenth. Unable to locate. -MCSO received a re- port at SE Utah Ave, Irrigon that a 2-ton Ford pickup flew by on Utah toward Tenth. -MCSO received a re- port at E May St/NE Chase St, Heppner that a female is walking her dog in a black dress, waving her arms up in the air and talking to her- self. Deputy responded and made contact with the fe- male who was intoxicated. -MCSO received a re- port on NE Third St, Irrigon of a shed on fire. April 9: Morrow Coun- ty Sheriff’s Office received a report on Linden Way, Heppner that a garage door is open. -MCSO received a re- port on W Main St, Ione that a male is knocking on a female’s door and RP would like him talked to as the female recently broke up with the male. -MCSO received a re- port at SE Riverview Ave/ SE Fourteenth St, Irrigon of graffiti on the stop sign. Public Works was advised. -MCSO received a re- port of criminal mischief at SE Utah Ave, Irrigon. No further info. -MCSO received a re- port on SE Utah Ave, Irri- gon that a red Chevy car heading toward Division is possibly speeding. -MCSO received a re- port at NW Gale St/W May St, Heppner that there is a light turning on and off at the city shop. It is unusu- al, never done it before. Electrical issue, city was notified. -MCSO received a re- port pm SE Tenth St, Ir- rigon that he and his wife were just robbed at gun- point, suspects had masks, possibly Hispanic. Patient refusal. -MCSO received a re- port at Sunset Ln/Rand Rd, Irrigon that a lady in a white Mustang was tearing up the road, has been yelling and screaming. Unable to locate. April 10: Morrow County Sheriff ’s Office received a report at Love’s Travel Stop on Tower Rd, Boardman of two cows out. -MCSO received a re- port on Doolittle Canyon Ln, Heppner that two dogs came onto his property and attacked his cats. RP advis- es they are chocolate labs. Bruce Young was given a verbal warning for dogs as a public nuisance. -MCSO received a re- port on Hwy 207, Heppner that she heard loud yelling from an apartment. -MCSO received a re- port on SE Utah Ave, Ir- rigon that a green Dodge pickup flew past RP’s res towards Division to harass RP. -MCSO received a re- port on SE Utah Ave, Ir- rigon that the male in the pickup just drove past him in a black Charger and spun his tires. He states that there are only two ways this ends, either we arrest that male for harassment or the RP puts him in the hospital to leave him alone. -MCSO received a re- port on SE Wyoming Ave, Irrigon that RP’s neighbor is a sex offender and it looks like he has a young girl residing on his property. -MCSO received a re- port on SE Utah Ave, Irrigon that the black Charger went out of his way to harass RP, went by at a high rate of speed and then backed up to the corner making hand gestures towards the resi- dent. MCSO made contact with RP, checked the resi- dence, negative contact, no crime committed. -MCSO received a report at Willow Creek Campground on Willow Creek Rd, Heppner that a subject is refusing to move his trailer from the location. MCSO talked to individu- als; they have 72 hours to vacate. -MCSO received a re- port on Hwy 206 Condon, Ione that a yellow Porsche with TX plates is travelling at a high rate of speed, pos- sibly already in Heppner. -MCSO received a re- port on SE Utah Ave, Ir- rigon that a black Jeep is driving at a high rate of speed towards Tenth. Un- able to locate. -MCSO received a re- port on I 84 W, Boardman of two vehicle MVA. No injury and both vehicles are drivable. Varon Quin- ton Blackburn was issued warning for failure to obey TCD. -MCSO received a report at Stor-4-U mini storage on Hwy 74, Hep- pner that locks are being tampered with; someone attempted to cut locks on three units. -MCSO received a re- port at NW Center St/NW Gale St, Heppner of chil- dren playing on the hill at night time. April 11: Morrow County Sheriff ’s Office received a report on SE Seventh St, Irrigon that there is a suspicious man walking up and down the street. Heading south to- wards Utah St. Unable to locate. -MCSO received a re- port on SE Utah Ave, Irri- gon that the people down the street flew by his house in their cars with the mu- sic turned up. RP advised he will be sitting outside his house at 2100 tonight waiting for the people and handle the problem himself. RP then disconnected be- fore dispatch could ask any follow-up questions. -MCSO received a re- port on Hwy 206 Condon, Heppner that a group of cattle are out. Contacted cattle owner and they will take care of it. -MCSO received a re- port on SE Utah Ave, Ir- rigon that three dogs are running loose on Eighth St. Unable to locate. -MCSO received a re- port at Sinclair Station on W Main St, Lexington that there is a large group of bik- ers at the gas station. She is worried there may be drug activity and observed they are not practicing social distancing. Unfounded. -MCSO received a re- port on I 84 W, Boardman of a grass fire on the north side of the freeway. Unable to locate. -MCSO received a re- port on Boardman Ave NW, Boardman that RP heard five gunshots, believe it was a semi auto. Unable to locate. -MCSO received a re- port at Tower Rd/Kunze Ln, Boardman that there is a large female cow; be- lieves she might be a traffic hazard. -MCSO received a re- port on SE Thirteenth St, Irrigon that there has been a car parked for at least an hour with its lights on. RP advised she drove by and took a picture of it. Unable to locate. -MCSO received a re- port at West Glen Addition on Ridge Crest/Parkside Rd, Boardman that his neighbors are playing very loud polka music and peo- ple are running their ATVs up and down the road. Un- able to locate. -MCSO received a re- port at W Eighth Rd/Cain Ln, Irrigon that his 14-year- old son was invited to a party. Followed him and there is alcohol and possi- bly drugs there. -MCSO received a re- port on I 84 E, Boardman and a gray BMW and blue Subaru are racing on the freeway, 100 mph plus. Referred to other agency. -MCSO received a re- port on W Sperry St, Hep- pner that RP heard a cougar in the field next to their house. Unable to locate. April 12: Morrow County Sheriff’s Office re- ceived a report at Columbia Ave NE/2 nd St NE, Board- man that RP was assaulted and they took his keys and won’t let him leave. -MCSO received a re- port on SE Utah Ave, Irri- gon that a red Chevy Aveo went past his house at a high rate of speed playing loud music. -MCSO received a re- port at Love’s Travel Stop on Tower Rd, Boardman of a loose milk cow with a yellow tag in her ear. -MCSO received a re- port on Hwy 730, Irrigon of a motorcycle driving at high rate of speed passing cars on the right side of the road. Unable to locate. -MCSO received a re- port on I 84 W, Boardman that a darker colored Subaru Outback car is driving very erratically, failure to main- tain lane, varying speeds. Caller referred to OSP. -MCSO received a re- port that RP is transport- ing five children to PMH. All have come in contact with poisonous hemlock. Incident occurred between Lexington and Heppner. April 14: Morrow County Sheriff ’s Office received a report at SE Utah Ave/SE Eighth St, Irrigon that a white Cadillac SUV has loud music. Deputy responded and located ve- hicle. There was no one in the vehicle and no music playing. It was already parked. Unfounded. -MCSO received a report at Columbia Rive Ranch on Kunze Ln, Board- man that there are three small dogs on the proper- ty. Deputy responded and transported a husky to pet rescue. Unable to catch the other three dogs. -MCSO received a re- port on SE Utah Ave, Irri- gon that a blue Ford Taurus was speeding down Utah towards Tenth, male driver. Unable to locate. -MCSO received a re- port on SE Utah Ave, Ir- rigon that a blue Mercury Sable went speeding down Utah towards Tenth. Unable to locate. -MCSO received a re- port at Hwy 207 Echo/Sand Hollow Rd, Lexington that a gray Mazda was travelling 80/90 mph. -MCSO received a re- port on SE Seventh St/SE Idaho Ave, Irrigon that two high performance vehicles with high RPM possibly racing on Idaho. -MCSO received a re- port on I 84 E, Boardman that a maroon Chevy pickup with canopy is unable to maintain lane. April 21: Morrow County Sheriff ’s Office received a report on I 84 E, Boardman of an animal in the road, blocking lane. -MCSO received a re- port at Rodeway Inn, Front St SW, Boardman of two stray Dobermans. Unable to locate. -MCSO received a re- port on SE Utah Ave, Irri- gon that a female driving a gold Toyota Corolla is harassing him. RP advised she came down Seventh, saw RP out walking, looked at him, turned around and went back by him and his house. RP would like it logged and the female spo- ken to. Unable to locate. -MCSO received a re- port at Summit Ln/Parkside Rd, Boardman that there are dogs chasing goats. Unable to locate. -MCSO received a re- port on I 84 W, Boardman that RP was rear-ended by a semi on the freeway. RP advised non-injury but was going 70 mph when it occurred. They are off the freeway and on the ramp now. Patient refusal. -MCSO received a re- port on Prickly Pear Ln, Irrigon that she had mail stolen from her mailbox. -MCSO received a re- port on Linden Way, Hep- pner of a domestic dispute in progress. -MCSO received a re- port at W Arcade St/S C St, Lexington that subjects are needing a vehicle release and one of them pushed his way onto the lot and was shoving the owner. William Wayne Bozarth was cited and released for criminal trespass II. -MCSO received a re- port at W Sperry St, Hep- pner that shop at the end of the street has very loud mu- sic playing. MCSO made contact; they will be turning the music down. -MCSO received a re- port on SE Utah Ave, Ir- rigon that a white Chevy pickup sped down the street. It also ran the stop sign on Seventh. -MCSO received a re- port at Murray Drugs on N Main St, Heppner that there is a suspicious vehicle with a male inside, white Bron- co. Male as been there all day. Unable to locate. The 59 reported cases consist of 28 in Boardman, 25 in Irrigon and six in the Heppner/Lexington/Ione area. Of those, 15 have recovered, 42 are in home isolation, one is hospital- ized and one person died. Morrow County Public Health said, “This is in all of our communities and we all need to take precau- tions to protect ourselves and our loved ones. Be extra cautious if traveling to some of our neighboring counties; some of them have almost 10 times our positive case numbers and some are higher.” According to the re- port, the largest increases in positive cases in the county are not from people getting it at work, but from things like a backyard barbecue or a family celebration. Everyone is reminded to be diligent in public as well as weekends with friends at a backyard gathering or camping. Investigations are on-going and any individ- ual deemed at risk will be contacted by Public Health. Continue to practice six feet social distancing and washing your hands often. Masks are now mandatory statewide when going out in public. If you are sick, do not go out in public and do not go to work. Morrow County now up to 59 COVID-19 cases According to the latest press release dated June 29, Morrow County Public Health has confirmed the Morrow County total of COVID-19 cases is now at 59. Ten more individuals tested positive June 29, five from Boardman and five from Irrigon. Previously five new cases were reported June 26 and eight on June 25. The June 24 press release stated that one of the indi- viduals who had recently tested positive turned out to be living in another county, so the total that day was re- duced to 35. Later that day, one more individual tested positive bringing the total back to 36.
