Special Edition • Morrow County Fair and Rodeo • Heppner Gazette-Times, Wednesday, August 7, 2019 - Page 7 Clown Joey ‘Hashbrown’ Hackett to perform at OTPR This year’s Oregon Trail Pro Rodeo clown and barrel man will be Joey “Hashbrown” Hackett from Hutto, TX. Hackett is a “home-grown southern boy” with family roots going deep into Cajun country. He spent more than 15 years as a police officer and now owns two success- ful businesses. When he’s not working rodeos, he spends his time working as a private security contractor, executive protection officer/bodyguard, and a private investigator in the Austin, TX area. He is also a dedicated family man with four children—a 17-year-old daughter, an eight-year-old son who has desires to be a rodeo man himself, a 13-year-old stepdaughter and a 19-year-old stepson—and a beautiful wife. Hackett, from his belief in ing rodeos from Florida all the way to Washington, he brings along southern family-friendly religious and Cajun humor to relieve any stress or worries life holds; in his show, “you will never hear anything you can’t repeat in church.” Hackett was featured as the 2016 Pro West Rodeo As- sociation Finals Barrelman of the Year, as well as the 2013 Cajun Finals Barrelman/En- tertainer of the Year.
