As part of the application process, Co- lumbia Basin Electric will be reaching out to a select number of their members asking for help in identi- fying areas of the service territory that have slow internet connectivity. This will be a legitimate request from Columbia Basin Electric Cooperative and not a scam. They will NOT request any payment or personal information from the member. This will simply be a request to find out what internet Upload and Download speeds are available to the Coopera- tive’s rural members. If your internet is served from satellite or cell phone coverage, CBEC will not need to document results from your location.
