Funeral Notice Chamber announcements, events Now through Thursday, Dec. 13 rewards cards will be distributed for local pur- chases from participating merchants. Reward card denominations of $10, $20 and $50 will be given out in the amount of purchase (ex- cept for items not eligible, depending on merchant). The Heppner Celebrate Christmas event will be held Thursday, Dec. 13 at 6 p.m. at the Morrow County Fairgrounds. A spaghetti dinner will be available for purchase as well as pictures with Santa, Mrs. Claus and their elves for $5 per pic- ture. There will be a penny board and raffle items and opportunities to win prizes and support the chamber. Now through Dec. 20, Canned Food Drive at Wheatland Insurance. Wheatland will be collect- ing canned foods that will be donated to the Neigh- borhood Center for distri- bution. All 11 Wheatland branches are accepting canned goods or a monetary donation. Now through Thursday, Dec. 13, Heppner Junior/ Senior High School Na- tional Honor Society will be holding a coat drive. New or gently used coats may be dropped at Murray’s Drug, Heppner Market Fresh or Heppner Jr Sr High School. Now through Monday, Dec. 17, a Giving Tree is set up at Heppner Market Fresh Foods for the Neigh- borhood Center. Choose a gift tag from the giving tree, purchase a gift and drop off the unwrapped gift with the tag attached to the Neighborhood Center no later than Dec. 17. Tags from the Les Schwab Tire Center Giv- ing Tree to purchase a gift for foster children are still available. Stop by and se- lect a tag, purchase a gift and make sure it is back to Les Schwab no later than Friday, Dec. 7.
