17 at 5 p.m. at the River-

Volunteers from across
Morrow County have
pooled their time, talents
and resources to support
one common denominator,
its youth in agriculture ed-
ucation.
All proceeds from this
event will go to support the
four agriculture education
and FFA programs in the
county: Irrigon, Ione, Hep-
pner and Riverside. Tickets
are available for $25 per
person.
“This is a unique way
to combine our means and
propel FFA programs and
the youth they serve for-
ward,” said auction chair-
man and facilitator, Greg
Barron. “Our youth is our
greatest resource and those
in agriculture even more
so.”

Teacher Ensemble Festival
for the Umatilla/Morrow
District in Hermiston Sat-
urday, Nov. 10. This annual
event allows local piano
students to play duets and
compete to go to the state
recital held at Western Or-
egon University on Dec. 1.

services, education and the
organization of job fairs in
the community to promote
local businesses and job
opportunities. How to get
state and federal agencies
who offer services to com-
munities to visit more often
and have a presence in
South Morrow County, how
to support the schools with
mentoring or volunteers and
how to re-energize commu-
nity pride by working with
the faith based community
