Families wishing to include information not included in the guidelines or who wish to have the obituary written in a certain way must purchase advertising space for the obituary. Long drive went to Nancy Propheter and she got also got a birdie on hole 13. Flight B low gross went to Sarah Rucker, low net to Karen Haguewood and least putts was a tie be- tween Betty Burns and Pat Dougherty. Dougherty also had the long drive for flight B and Rucker received the nod for KP. Kris Lindner took low gross on flight C and Jackie Allstott had low net. Bev Steagall had least putts. Jackie Allstott made the longest drive. 26 golfers play on Sunday The Willow Creek Country Club men’s golf group hosted 26 golfers on Sunday, Apr. 22. Jim Monroe has been appointed by Bishop Elaine Stanovsky of the Greater Northwest area as a quarter-time pastor to the Heppner United Methodist Church, effective May 1. Monroe is a long-stand- ing member of the Oregon- Idaho annual conference. He has been in ministry for over 45 years and has served as district superintendent of the former Metro, Central and Western districts. He was also the assistant to the bishop for a time. In recent years, he and his wife, Rev. Sue Owen, have been lead- ing missionary work with the annual conference in Kenya, Africa where they lived for three years. Rev. Monroe will be leading the worship ser- vices at the church at least two and mostly three Sun- days each month.
