Bottom (L-R): Irelynn Kollman, Camryn Scrivner and Katie Wilson. -Contributed photo The Critters With Attitude 4-H Club will be hosting a bake sale and selling raffle tickets in front of the Heppner Elks Lodge from 9 a.m. until noon on Saturday, Mar. 17. Baskets to be raffled include a children’s activ- ity basket, a BBQ basket, a coffee basket, a facial basket and a wine basket. Raffle tickets are $1 each or six for $5. Last year’s bake sale reached its goal to pur- chase shears. This year the club hopes to raise enough money to purchase a sheep stand or a new blower. The club stated that they would like to thank everyone that helped them last year and they hope to see you again this year. Eastern Oregon Physical Therapy opens in Boardman Eastern Oregon Phys- ical Therapy (EOPT) is excited to announce an expansion of its service base of clinics to include a new facility in Board- man. EOPT has provided physical therapy services to eastern Oregon for over 15 years, with locations in Hermiston, Heppner and Pendleton. EOPT has worked with the Morrow County Health District to expand into this new loca- tion and bring additional services to the area. Landan Morgan, DPT is the newest physical thera- pist team member of the four EOPT locations. Mor- gan and his family relocated to the area this past winter after he graduated from Rocky Mountain Univer- sity of Health Professions in Provo, UT. Morgan says he is excited about the op- portunity to work within the community and support the growing and available medical services in Board- man. EOPT will be provid- ing out-patient services that include post-op rehab, industrial injury, orthope- dic, sports medicine and injury prevention. Morgan will also look to expand the services provided through the Morrow County Health District’s home health pro- gram with his presence and proximity to the com- munity. EOPT accepts most insurance plans and is open five days a week. The of- fice is located at 101 SW Kinkade. To schedule an appointment, please call the office at 541-481-2533. Participants reminded to arrive early for Remembrance Walk/Run Everyone planning to participate in the Decade of Memories Remembrance Walk/5K Run on Mar. 17 is reminded to arrive early, especially if they are not already registered. Social hour and registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. at the Heppner United Methodist Church, with the Walk/Run beginning promptly at 9:30. Wrist bands will be available to pick up that morning as well. Anyone wishing to volunteer with hanging Shamrocks on Friday, registration on Saturday or removing Shamrocks on Sunday is asked to call Susan Hisler at 541-676- 5878 for additional information. The next lunch meet- ing of the Heppner Cham- ber of Commerce will be held at noon on Thursday, Apr. 5, in the Heppner City Hall conference room. This meeting will be all entities reports. Cost of lunch is $10 and Gateway Café will be catering the lunch, serv- ing chicken alfredo pasta, garden fresh salad, a dinner roll and a cookie. RSVPs are required no later than Apr. 2. The meeting location is accessible to persons with disabilities. A request for an interpreter for the hearing impaired or for other ac- commodations for persons with disabilities should be made at least 48 hours be- fore the meeting to Sheryll Bates at 541-676-5536. Community lunch menu Nazarene, Christian and Seventh Day Adventist volunteers will serve lunch on Wednesday, Mar. 21 at St. Patrick’s Senior Cen- ter. Lunch will be chicken cordon bleu, scalloped po- tatoes, green beans, green salad, hot rolls and tiramisu for dessert. Milk is served at each meal. Suggested donation is $3.50 per meal. Menu is subject to change. Roice Fulleton, 100, who lives at Willow Creek Terrace, received a hand-quilted quilt last week that was made by a group of ladies in Hermiston. The group makes quilts and presents them to veterans who have retired. One of the ladies, Stephanie Ray, remembered that Fulleton was a veteran and also a cowboy, so they created a cowboy quilt specifically for him. The quilt was pieced by Jean Stahlberg and quilted by Barbara Furlong. Marriage Licenses The Morrow County Clerk’s office has released the following report of marriage licenses: March 1, 2018: - Stacey Lee Jessen, 49, Heppner and Theresa Lynn Crawford, 57, Heppner. Ione and Heppner Easter egg hunts scheduled The Heppner Easter egg hunt will be held Mar. 31 at the Heppner City Park. The Easter bunny is scheduled to arrive at 9 a.m. and the egg hunt will begin at 10 a.m. The Easter egg hunt in Ione will also be held on Mar. 31 beginning at 10 a.m. at the Ione City Park.
