Ione Community School Music Program 6-14-1c Another 6 months has past and the assistant liv- ing would like to thank the families, friends and volunteers in all the differ- ent areas they have been of help to us. Thanks to our new reader we now have. We appreci- ate her coming to read the Gazette. Thanks also to the library for the rotation of books they are bringing for our pleasure. Many thanks for all the food donations. The crab for celebrating the New Year's Day, prime rib for Christmas Day, beef from an organization, cup- cakes from 4-H kids and other random food dona- tions. It was decided to have raised garden beds for the residents. We extend our thanks to all the many helping hands that ac- complished this. Heppner and Ione schools were re- sponsible for building and placement of the beds, top- soil, fertilizer and plants. A family has offered to provide pavers for walk- ing the beds and hanging rain gutters for strawberry plants. A local club pro- vided supper with a vari- ety of salads and desserts for the residents. Several club members came and enjoyed supper and lively conversation. We hope you'll all come back. The Christmas season saw caroling groups, a piano recital and volunteers com- ing to help decorate, all of which were appreciated. The preschoolers came for their annual Valentine's party. These little faces are always a way to liven their day. Many thanks for the weekly volunteers that come for bingo, games and crafts, piano music, rides from the senior bus and The Loop, our new Ga- zette reader and crossword puzzle people. The snow removal pro- vided by a local company and our own employee Jerry Baker deserve a spe- cial thank you for all of the snow removal. They did a remarkable job. The Mustang mop up students who planted plant starts and seeds, power washed the building and windows, cleaned the sidewalk and hillside deserve a big thanks. Monetary giving is always a big help to us. Recently we have received money from a local foundation. This money, plus lots of volunteers, have helped in the development of our newly purchased land, re- modeling of the facility of- fice and med room We are thankful for the community on the hill and have been blessed by so many. Your friends at Willow View Terrace 6-14-1c We wish to thank Mary Ann Elguezabal and Ash- ley Lindsay for hosting our farewell party last Sunday at St Patrick's hall and all the people that work behind the scenes to put this together. To all those it worked in the preparation of the food, those in the kitchen who made sure all the food was set out on time and did the clean up afterwards. For those that set up and put away all the tables and chairs afterwards The food and care were unbe- lievable and so appreci- ated by everyone in atten- dance. We felt so blessed and overwhelmed by the many family and friends who attended and showed us such love and support as we get ready for our move from Heppner to Arizona. Our thanks and gratitude cannot begin to express well enough the appreciated words of love we received from so many. Also our thanks go out to those that were unable to attend that sent us cards and their absence. All this made us feel so loved by all. It is been such a re- warding experience to have been involved in St. Patrick's Catholic Church and having the pleasure of Father Gerry Condon as our priest for so many years, followed now by Father Papa. We will miss the people of Heppner and the wonderful community you all are. We love the way Heppner's commu- nity pulls together and so generously gives at fund raisers for people they sometimes barely know. We love how we have witnessed the youth of this town, where their re- spect for others and their willingness to help out the community is so preva- lent. We will miss the St. Patrick's Day celebrations 76-UnoCal Motor Oils Propane • Heating Oil •Diesel • Gasoline Morrow County Grain Growers, Inc 541-989-8221 1-800-452-7396 P.O.
