Organix Incorporated is in the process of making application to both Morrow County and the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality to construct and operate an in-vessel, organic waste processing facility for the purpose of recycling by-products from anaerobically digested dairy residuals into soil amendments. This activity is proposed on a 26 acre portion of property owned by the Port of Morrow, currently described as tax lot 131 of Assessor’s Map 4N 24, and located on the west side of Tower Road at the intersection with Boardman Airport Lane. The mission of Farm- ers Ending Hunger is to eliminate hunger in Oregon by increasing the amount of high-quality food available to hungry local communi- ties through a partnership of farmers, food processors, Oregon Food Bank and the public. $500 will sponsor two full acres and feed 1,000 families of four fresh vegetables for one day. “This is an opportunity to help support our com- munity and give back,” said chapter president Morgan Orem. “It’s our responsi- bility to be responsible and charitable citizens, and this is one way we can do that.” Contributions go to- ward the cost of process- ing, storing and distribut- ing food to Oregon Food Bank’s regional emergency food networks. Established more than 100 years ago, 4-H offers opportunities for youth and families to master new chal- lenges, experience growing independence, feel a sense of belonging and give back to their communities. 4-H is a positive youth development program and can provide partnership opportunities with families and volunteers to create an educational atmosphere within various project ar- eas. These projects are tools to help youth learn life skills through competition, team work, community service, challenges, and success. DA’s Report Published: November 25, 2015 Afidavit Morrow County Dis- trict Attorney Justin Nelson has released the following report: -Richard Lee Rowe, 52, was convicted of Encourag- ing Child Sexual Abuse II, a Class C Felony, and was sentenced to 24 months su- pervised probation subject to 120 sanction units with 60 jail units. Probation conditions include but are not limited to successful completion of sex offender treatment; mental health evaluation; reporting as a sex offender with local or state authorities when moving, changing employ- ment and at other speciied intervals; 80 hours of com- munity service; no direct or indirect contact with the victim or the victim’s family members; not reside within three miles of the victim; consent to random polygraph tests as deemed necessary; not possess any type of sexually suggestive or explicit material; not be involved in organization that would place the defen- dant in direct contact with children or visit places that exist for the enjoyment of children; cooperate with penile plethysmographic assessment as requested; be inancially responsible for all counseling costs in- curred by the victim related to the crime; and 10 days jail time with credit for time served. Additional counts of Using a Child in a Display of Sexually Explicit Con- duct, Attempt to Commit a Class B Felony – Rape 2, and Luring a Minor were all dismissed. Fines, fees and assessments totaled $2,500. -Laine Prinzling, 43, was convicted of Criminal Trespass I, a Class C Mis- demeanor, and sentenced to 45 days jail time with credit for time served and to run concurrent with pre- viously imposed sentences. The defendant was further convicted of Giving False Information to a Peace of- icer for a Citation, a Class A Misdemeanor, and sen- tenced to 45 days jail time with credit for time served and to run concurrent with the previous count. Fines, fees and assessments to- taled $200. -Lynn Elaine Uitto, 68, was convicted of one count of Making a False Claim for Health Care Payment, a Class C Felony, and sen- tenced to three years super- vised probation subject to 180 sanction units with 90 jail units. Sentence of 10 days jail time with credit for time served may be served through electronic surveil- lance program if found eli- gible. Probation conditions include not seeking em- ployment in any capacity paid directly by Medicare or Medicaid and answer- ing truthfully in any case involving co-defendants.
