SIX- Heppner Gazette-Times, Heppner, Oregon Wednesday, December 10,2014 Sheriff’s Report June 8 (cont.): -A man in Boardman contacted MCSO with a question about a neighbor who rides a four wheeler around with no helmet. -Lebanon, OR PD ad vised MCSO that they ar rested Ronald Arthur Gon zales, 67, on a Morrow County Circuit Court war rant for Failure to Appear on Possession of Metham- phetamine. The subject was injured in a bike accident in Lebanon and, due to in juries, cited and released to appear at MCCC. -A woman in Irrigon called and advised she was driving and noticed a white male throwing trash into the Dumpster. The caller said it looked like there might pos sibly be something dead in the bags, unknown what it might be. The caller advised she was on her way to work and would be unable to have contact but wanted a deputy to check it out. The call was determined to be unfounded. -A man in Irrigon re ported a juvenile on an old trike with a lawn mower motor on it driving around. MCSO responded and was unable to locate. -MCSO received report o f a fight in Irrigon; the neighbors were fighting again. They are yelling, and it sounds like the teenage boy and father. -A man advised MCSO that his wife was staying som ew here in a tent in Heppner with a male and he would like a welfare check done. Female was entered into LEDS as missing. The deputy was unable to locate the female at that time. -A woman near Willow Creek Reservoir advised MCSO that she could hear gun shots or fireworks com ing from the location listed and would like the area checked. MCSO responded and was unable to locate. June 10: -An MCSO officer reported being out at Sam Boardman Elemen tary concerning a report of a male juvenile who got on the wrong bus; unable to locate the child at that time. -MCSO received report from a man in the Lexing ton area that his firearm was missing and that he had last seen it in November; unknown if it was lost or stolen. The caller wanted to make a report. -A man in Boardman advised MCSO that his neighbor’s property was a complete disaster with junk, and a fire hazard. He requested contact from a code enforcement deputy. MCSO placed the incident under investigation. -A caller in the Heppner area advised that a man who had been trespassed from the property kept driving through, and the caller re quested that a deputy make contact. -A caller in Irrigon ad vised that she believed her gun was stolen. She last saw it about a week prvious in a lock box. -A caller in Irrigon ad vised that another female messaged her on Facebook that she was going to send people after her. Four ve hicles that normally don’t drive in the area drove by in a matter of 10 mintues. -MCSO received a re port from a woman in lone who said she received an automated phone call from an lone number and when she calls back there is no answer. The phone compa ny said they could do noth ing and she is concerned that the company is using a local number, and would like contact from a deputy advising o f her options. MCSO responded. Ju n e 11: -An officer reported being out at Hep pner City Hall regarding an unsafe area where children are playing. -A caller in Lexington advised MCSO that they had lent their vehicle to a woman from Echo for what was supposed to be only one day; it had been several days and she had not returned the vehicle. -A caller in Irrigon re quested contact by a deputy who could help with the new neighbors, who had children going through mailboxes and were letting the children play in the street. Caller advised they needed a translator. -A woman called to advise MCSO that an older male subject in a SUV-style vehicle on Hwy 207 was drinking and smoking pot. It was parked at someone’s house but then he left going in the direction of Lexing ton. -A caller in Irrigon re ported juveniles riding four wheelers on the dirt road, and requested a deputy tell them they cannot be riding DA’s Report Morrow County Dis trict Attorney Justin Nelson has released the following report: -Jason James Abbott, 23, was convicted o f two counts o f Fleeing or A t tempting to Elude a Police Officer. For the first count, a Class C felony, the de fendant was sentenced to 90 days driver’s license suspension and 18 months supervised probation sub ject to 90 sanction units with 30 jail units. Condi tions of probation include substance abuse evaluation, mental health evaluation, risk and needs assessments. Social Re-education/Life Skill Traning, five sanc tion units to be used for 80 hours o f com m unity service, letter o f apology to the police, driver training course, 10 days jail time, and defendant is to obtain a GED. For the second count, a Class A misdemeanor, the defendant was sentenced to 90 days driver’s license suspension; of the sentence of 180 days jail time, 170 days were suspended and the defendant sentenced to 18 months bench probation, probation conditions to include 80 hours of com munity service, letter o f apology to the police, driver training course, 10 days jail time to run consecutive to previous and following counts, and defendant is to obtain a GED. Abbott was additionally convicted of Possession of Methamphetamine, a Class C felony, and sentenced to six months driver’s license suspension and 18 months supervised probation, sub ject to 90 sanction units and 30 jail units.
