Legion, and the Elks Lodge.
Survivors include: his
wife, JoAnne L. Burleson
of Heppner; sons, Warren
H. Burleson of Milwaukie,
OR an d Wi l l i a m B.
Burleson of Yakima, WA;
four grandchildren; and six
great-grandchildren.

graduated from Lewiston
High School in 1965. She
then moved to Alaska where
her son Brian was born.
They returned to Idaho in
1974, where she worked
many jobs, which included
waitressing, security guard
at the Lewiston airport and
Omark. She also worked at
Marsh's Trading Post until
poor health caused her to
retire.
She loved to do bead
work, and made fabulous
beaded jewelry. She had a
Sisters Jodessa Chapa and Kolleen Chapa, both
of Heppner, have been named to the Western Oregon
University Dean’s Honor Roll for spring term 2014, the
university in Monmouth announced recently.
Both were informed of the honor through letters from
College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Dean Sue Monahan.

Two local students have made the spring 2014 dean's
list at Eastern Washington University, the university
announced last week. Students receiving the honor are
Teruo Chinen and Brandon Seitz, both of Heppner.
Chamber lunch
meeting
The next lunch meeting of the Heppner Chamber of
Commerce will be Thursday, July 17, at noon in Heppner
City Hall conference room. SAGE Center manager Kalie
Davis will be the guest speaker; she will he promoting
the upcoming Morrow County Harvest Festival as well
as giving an update of the SAGE Center.
Cost of lunch is $10; Willow Creek Diner will cater.
Chamber lunch attendees are asked to RSVPat 541-676-
