She was bom September
27, 1928 at Sisters, OR, the
daughter o f C layton and
Ester Burmaster Able. She
was raised and attended
school in at Prineville, OR.
On December 1, 1945

where she graduated from
high school. The couple
moved to Heppner, where
she w orked for K inzua
Corporation in the log yard
as a weigh master.
Knitting was one o f her
favorite hobbies but mostly
she enjoyed being a wife,
mother and friend.
Survivors include: her
h u sb a n d , K en n eth Earl
N orris o f H eppner; son,
Kenneth Edward Norris of
Tacoma, WA; and grandson,
Kenneth Eugene Norris of
Lyman, WA.
She was preceded in
death by her parents and
her sisters, Anita Appesson,
Louise Carpenter and Doris
Hamilton.

Dear Editor,
As an em ployee o f the M orrow County Health
District, I can only encourage you to cast your ballot in
the upcoming elections and measure.
What I would like to tell you is how hard Morrow
County Health District has worked to improve the level
o f care and service. Pioneer M emorial Hospital is a
high-quality, safe choice for inpatient and essential out­
patient care. Our board o f directors has, and is, invested
in leadership development, technology and customer
service improvements.
All in all, Pioneer Memorial Clinic and Hospital are
