Poetry workshop held
at lone library
Seven people attended
a poetry workshop at the
lone Public Library Friday,
April 11. Jack Lorts, a poet
from Fossil, OR, led the
class.
E ach a s p irin g p o e t
created a M oebius strip,
which is a surface with only
one side.
Each person tried to
come up with a poem that
had no beginning and no
end, but co u ld be read
continuously.
D e s p ite th e la r g e
margin for confusion, it was
a good time and each person
took home their creation.

eight out o f 10 teams with
13 points, while the women
scored seventh o f 10 teams
with 17 points.

Personal Records (PRs).

lone travels go to Union.
On Tuesday, April 29, they
meet in Stanfield. On Friday,
May 2, the Cardinals travel
to Sisters for a twilight meet
before going on to Joseph
for a meet the following
Friday, May 9.
On Saturday, May 10,
there will be a meet for
qualifiers only at the IA
Track Classic in Portland.
Saturday, May 17, lone
will host the district track
meet in Moro. at Sherman
Co. High School. Finally,
the next week is state in
Eugene, at the University
