Ten teams participated. First place was Bohica 2.0 who, after a couple years of hiatus, took back the trophy. The players were Chad Doherty, Jake Roy and Jason Hanna (pictured). Bowl Roaders took second place and E-Bros took third place. Forest Service recruits youth for Heppner YCC crew H e p p n e r, O R — T he Heppner Ranger District is recruiting for four students between the ages o f 15 and 18 for summer employment in the Youth Conservation Corps (YCC). Work can in c lu d e n o x io u s w eed rem oval, fence rem oval and c o n s tru c tio n , tra il maintenance, campground maintenance, slash piling. tubing o f tree seedlings, and fireline construction around logged units on the Heppner Ranger District. The program will last six to eight weeks beginning June 23. Youth are paid the O regon mi n i mu m wage rate o f $9.10 per hour. No p re v io u s e x p e rie n c e is required. Applicants must be at least 15 years old and not reach the age o f 19 during the term o f employment in the program, have a social security number, or have made application to obtain one, and obtain parental or legal guardian consent to enroll in the program. A p p l i c a t i o n s are a v a ila b le at th e F o re st Service Office in Heppner and at local high schools. A p p l i c a t i o n s wi l l be accepted through 2 p.m. on A pril 15. Successful applicants will be selected through a random draw at 4 p.m. on April 15. He was also convicted of Menacing, a Class A M isdem eanor, and ordered to pay $100 in fines and assessm ents, Theft in the Third Degree and ordered to pay $100 in fines and assessm ents. One additional count was dismissed.
