H aw kins, was born to Tanner and Polly H aw kins,
Pendleton, on February 8, 2014, at Kadlec Medical
Center, Richland, WA. Hie baby weighed 6 lbs, 8 oz. and
measured 20 inches long.
G ran d p aren ts are Tim and Jen n ifer H aw kins,
Pendleton; Debbie and John Steiner, Dublin, CA; Jan
Beamer, Pendleton; and Jim Bothum, Prineville. Great-
grandparents are Helen Hawkins, Pendleton, and Mary
Beamer, Heppner.
Beginning golf class
planned
A beginning golf class
is planned for this spring at
the Willow Creek Country
Club in Heppner.
The class, for people
w ith lim ited or no prior
golfing experience, will be
held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on
Tuesdays beginning April
1. The class w ill cover
the basics o f play, rules
and etiquette o f the game,
among other details o f the
game.
The class is limited to
eight students per session
and registration will be on
a first-com e, first-served
basis.
C ost is $30 for the
series o f six 1-1/2 hour
lessons, w hich includes
a tem porary m em bership
in Willow Creek Country
Club for non-members and
provides unlimited practice
play for the duration o f the
classes.

half-price
m e m b e r s h i p w ill be
p r o v id e d fo r s tu d e n ts
who were not previously
m em bers. The class fee
will be waived for regular
members o f Willow Creek
Country Club.
E ach s tu d e n t m u st
have a basic set o f clubs,
including a putter, 5, 7 and
9 irons, and a wood. Balls
and tees will be provided by
the class.
