The team members say this is not a fundraising event, but a way to recognize individuals and families impacted by cancer. -Contributedphoto The H eppner High School volleyball program will be wearing pink in su p p o rt and hon o r o f individuals and families affected by cancer during their match against the I r r ig o n K n ig h ts on Thursday, Oct. 3. The JV team will take the court at 5 p.m., with the varsity to follow after, rhe players encourage everyone to come, watch and wear pink. The girls have new warm-up shirts and socks they will wear for matches during O ctober, w hich is recognized as Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The subjects were lost and the deputy guided them to the freeway. -MCSO received report o f a bunch o f guys with stripped wire who were getting ready to bum it to get the copper out of it on the gravel road that runs along the railroad tracks in Boardman, about 200 yards east of where the power lines cross the road. They were in a brown Ford F-150 with a smashed windshield. The caller reported the license plate and described one of the suspects as a white male with a larger build, no shirt and carrying a Samurai sword on his hip and a n o th e r m ale possibly Hispanic. He was lodged at Umatilla County Jail with $16,500 bail. MCSO arrested William Eugene Stolz, 39, on probable cause charges of Theft I, Criminal M ischief I and Criminal Trespass II.
