Heppner Gazette-Times, Heppner, Oregon Wednesday, August 14,2013 - FIVE Sheriff's Report J u n e 18: M orrow County S heriff’s Office received report of a possible motor vehicle accident on Hwy. 730. A MCSO Deputy determined it was not in M orrow County, but in Umatilla County. -MCSO received report from an Irrigon woman that a woman in a white Dodge Stratus passed her in the turn lane in a school zone while the 20 mph light was flashing. The caller said the woman continued to drive fast, passing people at every opportunity, going 80 mph-plus. She reported that the woman turned north on 1-82, possibly headed toward Washington State. -MCSO received report from Boardman Police of graffiti at a location on Kunze Rd. -MCSO received report from a Heppner man o f fraud on his credit card. -MCSO received report from Portland 911 of a 911 call from Upper Columbia Mill. They advised they called 911 by mistake. -MCSO received report of two male pit bulls at the Irrigon Post Office. -MCSO received report from an Irrigon man that he ad received a letter from the code deputy that requested that he clean up his lot. He said that neighbors from both sides had been throwing trash on his lot, but he had people cleaning it up. He requested that a deputy look into the issue. -MCSO received report from an Irrigon couple that their neighbor had put up a permanent 22’x4’ swimming pool that was pushing on the fence to the point of the fence leaning on their property. They said the neighbors were refusing to move it. -MCSO received report of a drive off for $50.62 at the Heppner Shells. The vehicle was a white SUV with bikes on the left rear. -MCSO received report from an Irrigon woman that a dog had been coming up to her fence and trying to fight her dog. -M C S O r e c e iv e d report from an anonymous B o ard m an c a lle r th a t there was glass shattering, things breaking and people yelling. It was a Boardman Police call. -MCSO received report from an Irrigon woman of a mother and baby raccoon in a tree where her kids play, hissing. She was advised of her options. -MCSO received report from a Boardman man that his dog was just taken by subjects in a white vehicle headed toward Kunze Rd. A deputy responded and the dog was returned home. -MCSO received report o f a missing black New Foundland dog in Heppner. The dog had a collar and no tags, but was chipped. -M C S O r e c e iv e d report o f a male subject broken down with a load of firewood on his truck around five to seven miles out o f town on Willow C reek Rd., H eppner. A deputy responded and made contact with the subject. -MCSO received report from an Irrigon subject that his n eig h b o r’s two small dogs keep getting in his yard. He wanted the neighbors contacted and advised to keep their dogs in their yard. -MCSO received report o f a vehicle broken down on Columbia in Irrigon. The caller advised that the vehicle was off the road and her insurance company advised they would send a tow in the morning. -MCSO received report o f a check book stolen from an Irrigon subject and three checks cashed so far. A deputy made contact and advised MCSO would investigate. J u n e 21: M orrow County S heriff’s Office c i te d D ie u d o n n e B. Kamana, 23, for Violation of the Basic Rule, 78 mph in a 55 mph zone. -MCSO received report of the theft of big rolls of copper the previous night in Hermiston. MCSO arrested a 3 5 -y ear-o ld m ale on Probable Cause charges o f Theft I. He was also arrested on three Umatilla County warrants for Parole Violation, and Failure to Appear-Eluding and DUII. He was lodged at Umatilla County Jail with $37,500 bail. -MCSO received report of a possible medical call near Irrigon on Hwy. 730/ County Line. -M C S O r e c e iv e d report o f a found border collie puppy around three months old in Boardman. The puppy was taken to Pet Rescue. -M C S O r e c e iv e d request from the Department o f Human Services for assistance with a home visit in Irrigon. No deputy was available, but DHS advised they would be attempting contact anyway. -MCSO received report o f an open line 911 call, possibly a pocket dial. -M C S O r e c e iv e d report o f a possible drunk driver on Hwy. 14 near 1-82, Washington State. The call was transferred to Washington State Patrol. -MCSO received report th a t U m a tilla C o u n ty Sheriff’s Office arrested Carri Ann Boylan, 33, on an Irrigon Justice Court w arran t for F ailu re to Appear/Failure to Appear/ Driving While Suspended. She was lodged at Umatilla County Jail with $ 1,344.50 bail. She was also arrested on UCSO probable cause charges. -MCSO received report from a Heppner man that his white Ford Escort broke down on Rhea Creek Rd. outside o f Ruggs and he was going to pick it up that afternoon. -MCSO received report of a cat hit, but still alive W h at H appens W h en th e F olks That Have P ro v id ed Your B uilding and O u td o o r Supplies, T u rn 50? in the middle of the street by the Catholic Church in Heppner. -MCSO received report o f a white Ford pickup that passed the caller at a high rate of speed and on a comer on Tower Rd. in Boardman. MCSO was out of position. -MCSO received report from a subject on Kunze Lane in Boardman that they were working on their fire system and requested no response. -MCSO, Irrigon Fire Department received report from an Irrigon woman o f smoke and a large log burning at a residence on Washington Ave. in Irrigon. The caller was concerned because of a lot of dry grass nearby. -MCSO received report from a Heppner man o f a missing 9mm police-issue handgun. The caller did not have the gun’s serial number. -MCSO received report from an Irrigon woman that her son’s blue BMX-style bike was stolen. The caller advised she was at the skate park awaiting contact. -MCSO received report from an Irrigon woman that her neighbor’s black cow was out again. -M C S O r e c e i v e d report of a gray baby kitten found in Irrigon. The caller wanted the cat picked up at his residence. -MCSO received report from a Heppner woman that a border collie keeps coming to her residence and she wanted it picked up. -MCSO received report of a white VW Beetle and a m aroon Ford flatbed driving fast down Chase St. in Heppner. -MCSO received a 911 hang-up call in Boardman. On call-back, an eight-year- old boy advised there was nothing wrong. -MCSO received report from an Irrigon woman that she was assaulted by her ex. She said she was trying to leave to go back home to Enterprise, but believed she saw her ex’s friends in a pickup just turn the comer and she did not feel safe leaving the apartment to get to her vehicle. She requested a deputy to assist her. - B o a r d m a n F ir e D e p a rtm e n t r e c e iv e d request for mutual aid from Hermiston. -H eppner Fire Department received two req u ests from P ioneer M em orial H o sp ital in H eppner to secure the landing zone. -Irrigon A m bulance and Boardman Ambulance received report from a 44-year-old male that he thought he was having a heart attack. He advised he would meet the ambulance at th e h a ll. H e w as transported. -Heppner Ambulance r e c e iv e d r e p o r t o f a 55-year-old female with stomach issues needing an ambulance. J u n e 22: M o rro w County S heriff’s Office r e c e iv e d r e p o r t o f a break-in at the sawmill in Boardman a couple weeks earlier. Security personnel w ere doing rounds and heard people running by the railroad tracks. The caller said they started running when they heard the security guard. -MCSO received report o f a white Dodge utility vehicle swerving all over the road on 1-84. OSP and Frontier were out of position. -MCSO received report of a hit and run non-injury at the Irrigon Shell. MCSO arrested a 32-year-old male, for F ailure to Perform Duties o f a Driver with Property Damage. -M C S O r e c e iv e d request from an Irrigon man for regular patrols in Irrigon. The caller did not believe it was getting done. -M C S O r e c e iv e d rep o rt o f dogs chasing deer in Heppner. A deputy responded and the issue was resolved. -M C S O r e c e iv e d request for an ambulance for a man in his 40s not coherent and slurring his words. The subject was diabetic and could possibly be h av in g a d ia b e tic episode. -MCSO Deputy reported picking up a pit bull in front of a school in Irrigon. The dog was taken to pet rescue. -MCSO received report from a Heppner woman that Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife picked up a dead deer from her neighbor’s yard, but now there was a fawn wandering around, possibly looking for its mother. -MCSO received report from a Boardman woman that a dog was dumped off at her residence. She transported it to Pet Rescue. -MCSO received report of a subject at the 1-84 164 exit for around four days. The caller said that he saw the subject take about six steps and fall forward, then get up and fall again. -MCSO received report from a Heppner woman that her Chihuahua, that looks like a mini blue heeler, is missing. -MCSO received report from an Irrigon man that his girlfriend left the residence on foot with their seven- m onth old baby after a dispute. He was concerned about the welfare o f the child. -MCSO received report from an Irrigon man that he was having trouble with his 14-year-old son. He said the son had been mouthing off and just left the residence on foot. -M C S O r e c e iv e d request from Colum bia River Ranch for contact with an on-call crisis worker. Comm unity Counseling Services was contacted. -MCSO received report of a piece of wood in the middle of the west-bound lane of travel on Hwy. 730 at the railroad tracks in Boardman. -MCSO received report from a man in Irrigon that three people in a white Honda Accord were following him, traveling west-bound on Columbia Lane.
