In January, the Wenberg boys cleared the majority of fallen trees for firewood w h ich u n b lo c k e d my driveway. This July, Pastor Norman and W anda L ee, Eve Ironhaw k, Lisa Larsen, B rett T hom p so n , Don Tindall and Wil and Lori White of the Church of the Nazarene cleared and re leveled the property; and Ryan Miller of Miller and Sons Excavating hauled tree stumps away. T h is h as b e e n an incredible blessing for my entire family. This time a year ago I com m itted the majority o f my m onthly income to my youngest daughter Heather’s family. Heather (Wyatt) was beginning her last year of nursing school. Her husband, Travis, is also still in college. They have three small children. Heather graduated from nursing school in June. She passed her nursing state board examinations two weeks ago and is now licensed as a registered n u rse in th e s ta te o f me numerous times, “Mom, we couldn’t manage this last year financially if it weren’t for your help.” U ltim a te ly a larg e portion of that thanks is due to the kind folks who helped with this cleanup project. Learning public relations skills is also extrem ely important. Assisting the public in understanding the processes and the different is essential. Working Environment: The work is accomplished both at the County Courthouse and in the field. The appraisal inspections occur through out the year and in various weather conditions and locales. Some areas req u ire 4 w heel drive vehicles to access and may require walking on rough terrain. Qualifications: 1. M u st m eet th e requirem ents for entry into the Appraiser Trainee Program. 2. M ust have valid Oregon D river’s license and proof of good driving record. 3. Must satisfactorily complete Appraiser Trainee Program within one year of hire. 4. M ust be able to use word processing and spreadsheet software. 5. Must be physically able to cross rough terrain and o b sta c le s such as fences. 6. M ust be able to patiently interact with the public. 7. Must have basic math comprehension Job Duties: 1. Will work, under supervision, to learn how to appraise real property, p erso n al p ro p erty and manufactured structures. 2. Wi l l r e v i e w educational m aterials in preparation for regular examinations to determine progress. 3. Will be trained in normal office procedures and how to deal with the public. 4.
