CRCHS recognized as patient-centered primary care home Effective May 10, Co lumbia River Community Health Services has re ceived Patient-Centered Primary Care Home Tier 2 certification. This rec ognition reflects the extent to which the clinic has demonstrated excellence in providing high-quality per son- and family-centered care. Program ap plicants must be age 55 or older, unemployed, live in Morrow County and have incomes o f $14,363 per year or less for a family of one ($19,388 for family of two). There are currently two openings for qualified candidates. “In this difficult econo my, many older Oregonians are finding it necessary to find work,” says Janet Standeford, local employ ment and training coordina tor for Experience Works. “Unfortunately, finding a job can be especially dif ficult for older workers who have not looked for employment for some time or for those who been un- 4 9 6 ,9 9 8 M ay 14: M o rro w County S heriff’s Office received report that Oregon State Police arrested Ivan Salas Salas, 23, on an Ir rigon Justice Court warrant for Failure to Appear/Minor in Possession-alcohol. He was lodged at U m atilla County Jail with $1045 bail in full. -MCSO Deputy report ed he had made contact with a female juvenile in Boardman, transported her home and warned her of the curfew. -MCSO received report o f three horses out by the Lexington Cemetery. The owner was contacted and the horses returned to their pasture. -MCSO Deputy report ed assisting the Department of Human Resources on a child welfare check. -MCSO received report from an Irrigon woman that someone was using her So cial Security Number. -MCSO received re port o f a vacant Irrigon residence with overgrown weeds causing a fire issue. -MCSO received report of horses kept in the yard next to the gas station in Lexington with their ribs showing. The caller said that someone had given them hay the previous day. MCSO responded and de L Sheriffs Report ~ termined the call to be un founded. -MCSO received report from a Boardman wom an that 10 goats had just showed up at her residence, four adult females, one adult male and babies, along with a miniature donkey. The owner called and returned them to their pasture. -MCSO received re port from a woman that another woman was being antagonized by chickens in Boardman. She requested a call from a deputy before heading to the residence. -MCSO received re quest from Com m unity Counseling Solutions for a secure transport from Good Shepherd Hospital in Hermiston to Lakevicw Heights in Heppner. M ay 16: M o rro w County S heriff’s Office received report from an Irri gon man that he found a St. Bernard on his property. -MCSO reported trans porting a prisoner to court and back. -MCSO received report from a woman that her boys were abused when they went to visit their father in the Ione/Heppner area. -MCSO received report from a Lexington wom an that her mother passed away the previous morning and the owner of the house her mother had Vented was already going through her stuff. She wanted to know if the owner had the right to do that and take the items. -MCSO received report from a woman who had an issue with her family wanting to move from the residence. -MCSO received report of a suspicious vehicle that pulled into the Driftwood RV Park in Boardm an. Boardman Police Depart ment and MCSO respond ed. MCSO arrested Donna Biggs, 42, on a Hermiston Municipal Court warrant for Contem pt o f Court/ Theft III. She was lodged at Umatilla County Jail. -MCSO received re port of a female in bed and cramping up, possibly suf fering from dehydration in Irrigon. -MCSO arrested George Gordon Kennedy, 63, on two counts of Un lawful Sexual Penetration I and eight counts of Sexual Abuse I. He was arrested with $500,000 bail, but re leased on his own recogni zance due to lack of medical ability at the jail. -MCSO, Irrigon Ambu lance, Irrigon Fire received report of a two-vehicle auto accident on Hwy. 730, Irri gon.
