Dinner at the Cemetery returns spirit o f these survivors while also remembering the cost in lives o f the devasta tion. Somber though this look-back is, optimism is the note on which the eve ning plans to end. Cost for the evening— including dinner catered by Alvin Lui and the per formance—is $25. Seating is limited. “ M em o ries o f the Flood” returns to H ep pner Masonic Cemetery on June 14, a day earlier than first announced. This encore performance by the D inner-at-the-C em etery Players will complement the com m unity’s annual Celebrate Heppner event. The evening will begin with dinner at 6 p.m. Through the actual words of some survivors of the 1903 Heppner Flood, the dramatic production pays tribute to the amazing lone Community 4-H Club, in cooperation with RJ Livestock 4-H Club from Heppner, traveled jointly to attend the Oregon Zoo Snooze. Zoo Snooze features after-hours tours of the zoo’s exhibits, animal kitchen and veterinary medical center, as well as zookeeper training games, inquiry sessions and hands-on animal activities. Members stayed the night across the walk from the monkeys, too. 4-H leaders Doashea Qualls and Erin Heideman wish to especially recognize Loren and Della Heide- man for sponsoring the trip and Deacon Heideman for chap eroning.
