D ead lin e, M onday, April 22nd - Morrow County Seeks Planning Commis sioner: Morrow County is looking for a volunteer to fill a vacated seat on the Planning Commission representing the at-large position. Planning Com missioners serve four-year terms, with this position beginning at the time of appointment and running until the end of the vacated term, December 31, 2015. The Planning Commission generally m eets once a month, alternating meeting locations between Heppner and Boardman. Duties of the Planning Commission include approving land use actions, maintaining the county’s subdivision and zoning ordinance, and working with the County Court to manage the coun ty's land use Comprehen sive Plan. Women attend annual ecumenical gathering FFA students host dinner The first annual Friends of Heppner Future Farmers of America (FFA) Member ship Dinner was held April 4 at the Morrow County Fairgrounds. The Friends of Heppner FFA, also know as FFA Alumni, is a group o f adults that agriculture teachers rely on to help them get community sup port for their agriculture programs. FFA relies on alumni members for help with recruiting students and raising funds for chapter activities and scholarships.
