I f C lin t E a s tw o o d stared me down and asked me “Do you feel lucky? Well, do ya, Punkette?” I would definitely have to say, “Yes, yes I do!” I landed in this community to find myself surrounded by seriously devoted & caring community members and along the way, I found loyal and amazing friends & cohorts - that says lucky to me. So, thank you to all the nominators and their “You made my eyes water” nomination letters. Thank you, Jeff, for the charming speech and to Bank o f Eastern Oregon for all that work you give me, day in, day out, week after week, month after month....gee, it’s fun to go to work every day at a place where you are appreciated. Thank you to all my co-workers for giving me the best congratulatory celebration day after. And, thank you, Heppner, for this remarkable award from the bottom of my still-pounding heart. J im l e e r After Heppner’s recent annual Town & Country celebration and receiving Woman of the Year award. I’m sure I slept with my eyes wide open that night. One can only imagine how they think they will feel if they should ever win such a prestigious award. For me, my heart wanted to jump right out of my skin from beating so hard. (I was glad to see a doctor in the house because 1 came close to needing one.) 1 couldn’t sleep a wink that night as the evening’s events went around in my mind, over & over. Then, of course, I got a case of the “I should’ve saids.” Bill Kuhn said they like to “blind-side” the recipient. Well done, com m ittee m embers! It certainly happened to me. As a transplant to this area, as my boss Jeff Bailey, readily reported. Denny & I have been warmly received and it’s just darn nice to be thought o f as useful .and talented and that is so appreciated. And speaking of Denny, I'd like to th an k th at husband of mine. Whatever community event I’ve been involved in, his expertise with hammer, saw, or design has often saved my bacon when I thought I had a good idea but was going at it all the wrong way. As for all the compliments 1 received for my ability to throw a few costumes together for community or high school ttto s e s R o o f i n g S e a m le s s G u lle t s =** -r* • a * r • MISI C A N T O N l l c Farm Equipment Gleaner • Macdon Kubota • Massey • Schulte S e ih .M ake ro o m in y o u r g a ru g e f o r y o u r c a r . . . 5 4 1 - 6 7 6 -2 9 4 6 Hayden Dental 9 8 9 -8 5 6 7 Sew On Et Cetera Morrow County Health District Dentistry Services #133909 Roofing Sewing Service p io n e e r m e m o r ia l Sen ire Collection Agency 989-8448 ccb A t H air Expressions Collections Agency 1 hill LEXINGTON PUMP Sam Bellamy O Medical Services tk'1 • Pressure Tanks • Irrigation Pumps •Solar Pumping System • All Domestic Water Supplies STARTING M ARCH 1STI- Ap polntm ents Available EVERY To schedule an appointment, call (503) 806-4727 o r •THEM Tuesday a Wednesday 541-676-5271 1 FOR ALL YOUR DOMESTIC WATER NEEDS... 9 Tamara Lobdell, massage Tim Dickenson, D .C . ic k e n s o n Massage Therapy RO.
