Twelve students from lone and 13 from H ep pner had prepared for the sacrament. Father Gerry Condon, pastor, introduced them. He shared that they had prepared for this sac rament for two years by a deeper study of the C atholic faith, had performed many hours of charitable service, and had attended a spiritual retreat. Each student had also chosen for themselves a special patron saint. An anonymous source pointed out that Father Con don and Joe Lindsay had composed “ ...a beautiful and meaningful confirma tion song that is sure to gain fame if the Vatican gets hold of it.” Following the special Mass, the St. William's Al tar Society hosted a break fast for the students, their fam ilies and friends. On Sunday, Nov. 11, community members can hear all these pianists play their duets at the lone Com munity Church at 6 p.m. St. Patrick’s to hold harvest festival S3 The St. Patrick’s Cath olic Parish annual harvest festival will be held Nov. 4 after Mass in the St. Pat rick’s parish hall. The Holy Names So ciety will provide a kid- friendly lunch at a family- friendly price. Games and activities will be open from noon until 1:30 p.m., and include Name That Saint, mini golf, bingo and a saint (cake) walk, to name a few. Ticket prices are 25 cents each. The Altar Society mem bers are asked to bring a dessert for the saint walk. All proceeds go to support the youth ministries at St. Patrick’s church.
