Heppner got down near the end zone once again but a couple of penalties helped stall the drive at the three- yard line. The TigerScots took over and their running back scored on the very next play, making the score 34-8. After a good return on the kickoff of 22 yards by Grieb, a nine-play drive ended when Jake Lindsay scored from one yard out. The PAT failed, making the final score 34-14. Lady Mustangs jail Outlaws Team falls to Bobcats The Heppner Mustang Volleyball team traveled to Enterprise on Saturday, Oct. 13, to play in a three- way contest that included the hosting Outlaws (6-7 BMC) and the Union Bob cats (9-3 BMC). After a long bus ride, it was a slow start for the Mustangs. The Outlaws, much improved and playing at home, gave the Heppner team a good game. The Mustangs prevailed eventu ally, winning in three sets, 26-24, 25-23 and 25-23. The next contest was against the Union Bob cats.' Heppner struggled offensively throughout the contest with many spikes just outside the line or in the net. However, give the Bob cats credit for winning the contest in three sets, 25-15, 25-12, 25-17. Momentum is huge in all sports and, in this match, the Mustangs struggled to find it. The Mustangs are 10-3 BMC and 20-6 overall. In all matches combined, the Mustangs have won 58 sets and lost 23 and are currently ranked third in the state by the OSAA. On Saturday, Oct. 20, they will travel to Pilot Rock to play in their last three-way contest against the Rockets and the Tiger Scots of Athena-Weston.
