A “yard” sale to launch fundraising efforts for re­
placement of the mossy shake roof at Hope Lutheran
Church will be held this Saturday, August 4, from 8 a.m.
to 1 p.m. in Hope’s basement, where temperatures are
cool all day.
The church is located at the comer of Alfalfa and
Cowins in Heppner (near the dam). All items will be sold
by donation.

Lodge. Correa was recently

this month.
Social hour will be­
gin at 5 p.m. with dinner
served at 6 p.m. The dinner
will include tri-tip, cheesy
potatoes, green beans, roll
and dessert. Cost is $20 for
ages 11 and up and $12 for
ages 10 and under.
The auction will follow
at 8 p.m. and includes items
such as a Ruger Blackhawk
41 mag. handgun, custom
brush guard, load of gravel,
cow elk hunting trip with
lodging, one-day guided
sturgeon fishing trip, golf
items, and tanning/cut/color
package, to name a few.
All proceeds from the
event will be given to Cor­
rea for costs involving her
treatment. Donations can
also be made at the Bank
of Eastern Oregon, where
an account has been set up
for her.

Willow Creek Baptist Church members will be serv­
ing lunch on Wednesday, Aug. 8, at St. Patrick’s Senior
Center. The meal will include chicken casserole with rice,
mixed vegetables and black-eyed peas; wilted spinach
salad, sliced tomatoes, hot rolis and ice cream. Milk is
served at each meal. Suggested donation is $3.50 per
meal. Menu is subject to change.

Darde Alleman and Eric Chick
Kevin and Candy Chick of Heppner and Don and
Jackie Alleman of Hermiston are proud to announce the
engagement of their children, Eric Chick and Darcie
Alleman.
Darcie is a 2011 graduate of Hermiston High School.
She is currently attending college at Brigham Young
University-Idaho in Rexburg, ID.
Eric is a 2011 graduate of Heppner High School. He
is currently employed at Blue Mountain Manufacturing
in Heppner.
The couple plans to be married August 25, 2012 in a
private ceremony in Kennewick, WA. They plan to reside
in Rexburg, ID while they pursue their educations.

term.
