Missy has loved the music industry all her life. “It is all of us as per formers and listeners that give music the continuous energy to keep it going. I love writing, singing and sharing country m usic,” she says. Missy’s voice and en ergy have been compared to Shania Twain, Emmylou Harris and Linda Ronstadt. From the start, the Mis syG band has performed in venues such as hotel lounges, festivals, charity benefits, and private parties including anniversaries and holiday functions. John Guthrie provides backing vocals, bass, key- MissyG boards, rhythm-lead guitar and Mandolin. John has a background of starting and performing with rock bands since the 70s. He married Missy in 2005 and started the Mis syG band, playing coun try and popular southern rock tunes. John and Missy perform strictly country music now, combining Mis syG originals with popular country covers from yester day and today. Football camp scheduled The 20,h annual Heppner Mustang Football Camp will be held August 6-9. Incoming fifth grade through eighth grade will have their camp from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Camp for incoming ninth grade through 12th grade will take place from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Forms are available at Murray’s Drug in Heppner.
