A unique concert
featuring international mu

be held on Thursday, April
26, at 7 p.m. at the Heppner
Elementary School.
U nder the title,
"The Living Roots of Mu

music and performs mu
sic from around the world
on lute, guitar, lute-guitar,
lyre, recorders, gemshoms,
cornamuse, krummhorn,
sch reierp feife, shawm,
rackett, pennyw histles,
concertina, ocarina, hurdy-
gurdy, doucaine, Kiowa

to audiences of all ages.
Pelon was the re

Europe, Australia and Asia.
She has also performed as
a soloist with symphony

“I’m fascinated by
the interesting ways people

make music,” says Pelon.
“I especially enjoy doing
these programs because
they differ from ordinary
concert performances.
“The programs of
fer not only an opportu

also a way to think about
how music has affected the
lives of people all over the
world...from ancient times
to today.”
